Has anyone used DVC Title at www.dvcclosings.com? I requested Fidelity to send my contract to Mason but they sent it here instead. Wondering if I should proceed or push back.

I would push back, absolutely. It doesn’t even matter if they’re good. If the broker is making the connection there’s added risk you could get scammed. I want someone I have independently validated ahead of time, even if that validation is just seeing them 1000x in the closing thread and then calling them directly to make sure everything is good.

Oh I 100% pushed back. I searched through the boards here and a few FB groups and saw absolutely zero mention of them. Made the broker redo the contract for Mason. Now waiting for sellers to sign.

I had the same issue with them, but before anything was drawn up. Told them I wanted to use Mason and got a bunch of hemming and hawing and finally an "ok, but it will cost more". Ended up being $90 (?) more on a $17,000 deal.

Yeah the difference from my estimated closing costs on the initial offer and what's listed on the official contract is an entire $45. Drop in the bucket.

If you have two separate membership emails and two separate activation codes, then you’re golden. He’ll just have to sign up using his own email address.

It had seemed like https://www.fidelityrealestate.com/ used to default to https://www.firstam.com/
Then, on my 4th Fidelity Contract, they selected https://www.masontitle.com/
(I had high hopes, based on feedback on these boards and, unfortunately, Mason fumbled a bit, and the process was extended).
The Title Company selection, however, is at the buyer's discretion. I am glad you pushed back, and I hope you have a good experience with Mason. I'll be looking for your updates on the process.

I promise I tried to be patient, but I knew studio availability was slipping away for early August and I'm desperate to go see Happily Ever After in person and cry the whole way through it - so I chatted with member services on the website. Very friendly and helpful although he did initially quote 6-8 weeks as the transfer timeline for points, but apparently that timeline starts well before you get your new member emails. Still, it freaked me out momentarily!

My last (?) question for this lovely group: How do I add a Beach Club Villas panoramic image to my signature line on DisBoards? Is there an old thread that provides instructions? TIA!

45 days total and we are done. This is our 4th and final (for awhile) purchase since December. Thank you to everyone who shares info/data on here. It was all so helpful and made the process so much better.
