I get it. We are closed and recorded, but still waiting for points to load. Since we have full 21 points the wait is excruciating. I hope you get things done soon!

Oh I'm watching you like a hawk... we are in this together lol My deed recorded on 3/16 and i am dying!!!! I check my email like a lunatic even though i know it probably wont be until end of week if I am lucky! lol
Then i tell myself what if they send it to a incorrect email lol geeze....

I'm just not sure what the hold up is - the whole reason I waited to wire money was to make sure the sellers got their documents in first.

Once I got that go ahead (<1 week), I expect that the transaction should close fairly efficiently. The only thing I have been told is (next couple days) and that was said the day i delivered my closing doucments and then one full business week after.

So really at a loss and I don't think I would recommend that anyone should ever use First American...

We signed our closing docs on Friday and we are waiting for the sellers to sign. Granted, it has only been 2 business days so I’m not expecting notice immediately and I’m clearly not out of range looking at the length of seller responses up and down this thread.

That said, I was a little surprised at seller response times and I started to wonder - is that really sellers dragging their feet? Is there a lag in the title process?

My sellers signed the contract within hours so without knowing their personal circumstances, I was ambitiously hoping we’d see similar expedience with closing docs.

Depending on who your agent is, you likely wouldn't hear for at least 3 days regardless. Even Mason, arguably the fastest on-average title company provides only 2-day FedEx return service. Even if your seller could get their docs notarized last Friday and get the packet dropped off at a FedEx location prior to cut-off, it wouldn't make it back to Mason until tomorrow at the earliest.

No. You don't need to be present. You should receive an email that it's closed, deed has been sent for recording and then further steps taken by DVC regarding your account/points.

I wonder how long people have had to wait for the long awaited email lol One person told me 10 days ughhh lol we are going in September so time is a wasting lol Home resort OKW so i am booking there or BLT.

Any idea how long it takes for the email from Disney?

sorry - my deed was recorded on 3/15...i was quoting the other person who is waiting for the email!

i don't think existing membership speeds anything up on disney's end! and don't worry about availability at OKW - there's always something! we are trying to split our november stay and head over to Boulder Ridge for a few nights, so we are anxious to hit our 4/14 mark for the 7 months out. i bet we hear back by the end of the week!

We closed 3/8, and were recorded on 3/13. I checked with DVC yesterday and they don't show anything in the system yet for this contract, just our existing.
