HI,

We are closing through the Timeshare store. Did anyone pay the extra $45. for expediated closing? Why or why not? It seems to me like the big time eater of closing is ROFR, which cannot be controlled.

Just wondering what to do....

Thanks a bunch.

I did not use this when I purchased a resale. I would imagine it would depend on how fast you wanted your contract (for example if you had a trip planned that was coming up fast or if you wanted to beat the 7 month window on a trip you are planning) and if the service would make a signigicant difference for you.

I used the service (with Timeshare Closing) and I do not think it helped at all. Others I read about went through in the same time frame as I did. I also remember someone saying it only helped in the processing of the actual deed with the county. I can not confirm this, but if it is true it is of no value for DVC since they will put you in the system before the official deed is recorded.

Just my $0.02, but I do not think it helps, but it might help your peace of mind.

Good luck!

I asked TCS if is was worth it, and THEY said, "No". DVC cannot really go any faster than it does. I figured, if they said "No", then there was no reason to do it!! I spent the $45 on a "thank you" gift for the lady working on our account, and it took less than 24 hours to get the docs submitted once the owner signed an notarized them. And, she called me the MOMENT she completed them to let me know that I should start checking with DVC to see if I was in their system!!! It was my OWN brand of expediting...and, it worked REALLY well!!!!

I definitely don't think it help because don't they send you the closing papers via e-mail. And how long can it take for them to physically take the papers down to the court house. Just check NO and move on.... ::yes::

I'd say it saves you a week to a week and a half at best but in most cases maybe a day or two, thus I say it's not worth it.

Thanks everyone! You all are the BEST!

DH is so impressed---told him I was going to check with my friends at the DIS and passed on to him the great information you posted. (Of course, I didn't remind him that hanging out on this board is the reason we are now spending the money:hyper: )

We checked NO. Hey--$45. is a day at WDW.

Thanks again.
