does anyone which factors influence the closing fees ? i inquired about 2 contracts, one for 80 pts AKV and one for 150 pts BWV and the first was 425 usd and the second 450. this just surprised me given the large difference in point count ?

Closing fees are based on the number of points and higher with more points. Typically tiered, so not a true per point change but cliff moves. It's likely that 80 may be near the top of a tier and 150 near the bottom? Or the split was 100 and the $25 is the difference in jumping over 100 pts (to 150, 175 or 200).

When I was looking at my add on, we found that anything 99 or less was usually the same with a break at 100. I didn't look beyond that as we knew we were looking at a 100 pt. or less add-on.

mostly the number of pts. (it's a little odd that there is any difference - an 80 pt contract probably takes the same amount of work to handle as a 150 pt contract.)

i think HHI resale contracts are a little more expensive due to south carolina legal rules...

the difference between 80 pts and 150 really isn't that much, though...but think about the savings per pt if you bought a 400 pt contract...

thanks all !!! makes me more inclined to limit myself to one 150 points contract
