My paperwork says that my closing date is Jan 2 it just so happens that is the date of my 11 month window for Nov. 2002 The member guidebook says that I cannot bank or borrow until I have closed. I will need to borrow approx 39 points to make the comlete ressie is it OK to do it on that day or is there something else I should do?

Jan 2 will mark the 11 month reservation priority for any reservation with a checkout date of Dec 2. If you have already made your downpayment to DVC, you can already make a reservation for early November- but cannot borrow any points until you have closed on Jan 2.

If you find you can make part of the reservation BEFORE Jan 2, I would do that and then make the remainder as soon as you are able to borrow any needed points. Late Nov/early Dec is often a busy time at DVC resorts- so make your reservation as soon as allowed to be safe.

Enjoy!!

Thanks I will try to do that but if I call MS on that the actual day of the closing will they have a record of my closing and be able to do everything on that date?

If you purchased a resale, it will take about a week after closing to get into the DVC computer. You can ask your broker for help facilitating this. If you purchased thru DVC, you are probably already in the computer and can make reservations immediately.

Once you are in the DVC computer you will be able to access your account and make any DVC transaction. If you are a resale buyer, you will have to call (about a week later) and they will search by your SS# (you won't have received any documents from DVC by that time). If the deed has been recorded and transmitted to DVC by the closing company, you'll be all set. If it's a DVC purchase, your guide will walk you thru the entire process.

Enjoy!

If you purchased through DVC, call the Quality Assurance number and double check on your closing date, I think you need to wait 18 calander days from the date you signed your paperwork to close. Check it out with them and see if they can move up your closing at all.
