Closest supermarket to BWV?

We've been discussing Winn Dixie (WD) which is a grocery store.

I'm sure someone else can help you about the Outlets. We've only been to an outlet mall at WDW once and that was probably 20 years ago. Happy shopping.

A few people mentioned one of the grocery stores being near a Disney store, that's what I was referring too.

Back to Publix vs. Winn-Dixie. I like the ABC liquor store near Winn-Dixie, but prefer Publix for their own brand goods, Boar's Head meats in the deli, and friendly staff. I do shop at W-D whenever we stay at Cypress Pointe (avoiding those high weekend point costs)

I have used Publix twice for turkey dinners at Christmas from the deli.

I have had a SSR CM on her way home from work, loan me her customer card because I didn't have mine with me at W-D. I call that really going the extra mile. She offered, I didn't even ask.

I think both stores are fine for shopping.

Got to love Boar's Head!:thumbsup2 Good to know.

What Disney store is everyone refering too? Is it the outlet? I can never find it, which store is it nearest too so I know where to shop in May.

Thanks!

The disney store I was referring to was at the outlets near the publix. Someone here gave directions to that Publix. If you get to that Publix they share the same drive as the outlet. If I remember correctly the Disney store is in the back by the food court. There was also a warner Bros. store if you happen to know any kids that are crazy about spongebob. Susan

Wouldn't qualify as a "grocery store", but there is a Hess gas station within walking distance of BWV that sells snacks, beer and wine. :goodvibes

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I will be staying at BWV in September and would like to know how to get the Hess station. My sister and I will not have a car, so it would need to be within walking distance.

TIA :goodvibes

It is, you would walk down the driveway, and you'll see it.

Thanks, everyone! It looks like the Publix near DTD or near SuperWalmert are the closest to BWV. I'll definately haved to check them out!

Have they changed the name of S. Apopka Vineland Rd to Reedy Creek? It may have changed ten years ago for all I know. Google maps shows it as S. Apopka Vineland.
I think it's both at that point, I've seen it both ways on different maps.
I wonder what has popped up along 429? I've heard there's a Target just N. of Western Way. That area may end up being very convenient for the Epcot resorts and AKV.
Not sure, I haven't been out that way south to be honest. While it's a nice and comfortable drive, it's quite a ways that way due to the configuration of the road, likely the 10 miles total each way I'm guessing but definitely an easier drive than the one you take, at least from BWV/BCV.

Yes, it appears to be a good distance but should be an easy drive at least for the present.

But the route I take is an easy drive. That's exactly why I take it. But I am very particular about when I take it: early afternoon only. Any earlier and there could be a backup at the MK tollbooth. Getting close to three, traffic picks up along 535 so I avoid that time. And I imagine S. Apopka Vineland is quite busy in the evening with tourists returning to hotels, going to dinner, etc.. But when I go, it's a breeze. Like a drive in the country save for those last couple blocks.

Thanks, everyone! I'm off to the Publix near the Crossroads on my next WDW trip. :)
