We like to get my FIL Starbucks mugs when we travel. They have special ones for each state/location. I really wanted to try to get him one from the starbucks at Nassau.

anyone know the closest?

I remember seeing the sign for one. It was on one of the side streets between Bay St and the Port (actually the side street was right near the port exit since it was on the way up to Bay St.). Sorry, can't be more specific but it is really close.

Once you get off the ship & walk in the Welcome center and into the inside straw market walk out the doors to your left then walk to your right you will be walking on the outside of the indoor straw market walk down just a bit you will then see a bunch of motor bikes for rent walk pass them and cross that street you will see the Hard Rock Cafe on your left and Starbucks will be on your right you won't miss it. It's not even a 10 minute walk from when you leave out of the indoor straw market hope this helps, I am sure others will chime in.

It is in walking distance to the dock. My DD and I had to have a Starbucks fix this summer.

wow I wish I had read this thread before our trip last July! We walked right past the side street that the Hard Rock is on. My dd and I hated the coffee we got on board.. even the specialty ones!

i know what you mean about the coffee on board...........ugh

although i do enjoy the specialty coffees from the cove.

as others have said follow the above directions from pp and you will find NO PROBLEM!!

We also collect the Starbucks mugs. It has gotten out of hand a bit. We started in Germany when my wife I and I couldn't decide on something to take home from Frankfurt and we ended up seeing one of the mugs in the shop there. We also got some other stuff but that trip started our Starbucks mug obsession.

The only complaint I have is in some countries they are really expensive. For example the one I got in Geneva airport after currency conversion was $30. That trip to starbucks with a large frap cost about $40 US. Talk about crazy.

I would love to have a Bahamas one but we had to switch cruises to the Mexico cruises. Hopefully we can find one in Mexico while we are there.

True I was just surprised because it seems like they are around $12 to $15 no matter where you go. For example in the UK they are 7 or 8 pounds which brings them to the same price. I guess Switzerland is just crazy expensive. I remember my wife got tired of the fancy french food so she went to McDonalds one day for a happy meal and it was around $12. So you are right it is just the location. She tagged along on my business trip so we only had to pay for her meals. We probably couldn't afford that place if my work didn't send me.

Congratulations!!!

I never really left the country either (except for walking into Mexico from San Diego when I was in college). Then my company sent me to Budapest in 2007 to help out a team we had just acquired there. My wife couldn't go because she was pregnant with our 2nd child. Then in 2010 we ended up canceling a cruise out of Galveston for my wife and I because my work told me I needed to go to Switzerland, Germany, and London. So I asked if my wife could go with and they said sure so we cancelled the cruise we booked and went to Europe for 10 days instead.

So if it wasn't for work I wouldn't have left either. Our first cruise on the Wonder will be in 2012. We originally had a Dream cruise (Mar 13th 5 day) booked for the same week but we found out we were expecting our 3rd baby and when I tried to add him to the stateroom it wouldn't sleep 5 so in order to go we would have had to get two cat 5E's (everything else was booked) and the cost would go from 3k to 6k. So I booked on the Wonder out of L.A. for the same week and it was only a few hundred more for connecting interior rooms. I was sad to give up our 6A room but at least I didn't have to cancel the cruise and we get 2 more days out of it.

Have fun on your first trip out of the country! It is pretty neat.

I THINK the Starbucks everyone is referring to is closed. It may have reopened but on our last cruise (late July) it was closed up:mad: But if that IS the case - you will find one over at Paradise Island.

OMG - I certainly hope it reopens.

I have never heard about these mugs, I love Starbucks! This is so cool!
