I posted about resort room checks yesterday, I have neen a member for well over 10 years, until O called to cancel room service I was never aware of this reasonably new policy.
The post while I had a bit of attitude in it was to inform others like me that don't know the enter your room even if you expressly ask them not to.
Like I said well over 10 years as a member I had no Idea, which also means many others may not realize this either. The point is if you rent or otherwise compensate a person, company or corporation for the use of a room rules come along with the contract.
I know legally a hotel room is treated by the court as a domicile Law Enforcement needs a warrant barring exigent circumstances to enter the room, in most States that I'm aware of landlord tenant agreements also have a clause or at least a 24-hour notice is needed to enter an apartment that's rented, and like I said and the other post don't even get me started about a squatter and how hard it is to get them out even if they committed a felony to break into the house. I signed my contract all over 10 years ago with Disney, and from what I was told this is a relatively new policy within the last couple of years is what I was told.
This was not to bring out armchair lawyers it was the informed people that their room is being entered whether they wanted privacy or not, just because companies corporations or landlords do something does not necessarily make it legal, the government does illegal things all the time and it usually takes a judge to stop the actions.
Apparently GADisneyDad14 decided there should be no more comments on that subject. Sorry about the large bowl type I copied and pasted this username and when I hit paste it changed the font and size.
There's always going to be people that throw comments that are either unnecessary or try to inflame others, my post was to let the uninformed people know that they changed the rules and that does not necessarily mean what they're doing is legal like I said I will pour over the contract and let the lawyer pour over the contract this may apply to people who have signed a contract since they decided to change their policy, but until it's looked at legally, it may not apply as a blanket policy and people just go along with it. Fortunately I am willing and able and already spoke to a family member that is a lawyer that agreed to look at my documentation and see if what they're doing is legal.
GADisneyDad14 apparently has seen posts on this subject before I had not and had no idea this policy existed but he decided to shut it down. I figured if I was well over 10 years a member and had no idea there were any others that had no idea as well.
