Everyone who has pending questions or requests into me - I will answer you.

DVC has finally stepped up and fixed the problem that caused these points to be in Reservation status, they are restoring the points to normal status.

I will repost as soon as DVC verifies the change in status.

Until then, everyone hang on, I will get back to you.

Thanks!

I have a total of 542 reservation Points available for rent and use by 8/31/2010.

The points can be used for any reservations except DVC resorts themselves, other than the Grand Californian at Disneyland, in which case they would have to be used by 12/31/2009.

The only Disney Resorts / Hotels that these points can be used at are:

Walt Disney World:

Caribbean Beach Resort
Coronado Springs Resort
Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Polynesian Resort
Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter / Riverside
Yacht Club Resort

Disneyland:

Grand Californian Hotel Resort & Spa ( through 12/31/2009 only )
Disneyland Hotel
Paradise Pier Hotel

All hotels at all other Disney Parks Paris, Tokyo & Hong Kong.

PayPal preferred for both buyer & sellers protection.

Rental Contracts used for both parties protection.

When inquiring about availability - please specify the number of persons, the dates, the location and type of accommodation desired.

Reservation availability can only be checked during Member Services open hours so requests received later in the day cannot be verified until the next day.

Please give us enough time to check your availability before asking another poster to do the same.

Asking $10.00 per point - price negotiable dependent upon number of points rented.

Sorry - but these points can't be used at OKW.

I am interested in the following period:
9/29-10/3/09
Coronado Springs
or Poly

2 Adults, 3 children (Ages 7, 4, 2(crib))
I am also interested in the Dining Plan options.

I am not sure how the process works, any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Basically DVC operates as a points based timeshare system - each owner's purchase allots them a certain number of points each year of the contract.

Owners / guests use these points to "trade" for reservations at the various Disney and other properties.

Once a point gets used for a DVC resort - which are the Disney resorts/hotel that have DVC villas associated with them, those points can never be used for a DVC resort again, if a cancellation occurs, but they may be used for all other Disney Hotesl and related properties.

These points from these cancellations are referred to as Reservation Points.

The points we're looking to rent are from a cancellation and as such are Reservation Points.

On to the good stuff!

For your stay: 9/29 - 10/3 3 Weekdays - 2 Weekend Nights

Coronado Springs:

Standard View (17 * 3) + (34 * 2) = 119 Points

Water View (20 * 3) + (36 * 2) = 132 Points

Polynesian Resort:

Garden View (42 * 3) + (78 * 2) = 282 Points

Lagoon View (50 * 3) + (100 * 2) = 350 Points

King Kamehameha Club (74 * 3) + (127 * 2) = 476 Points

We are looking for a villa that will accomodate all of us or two bedroom. I am flexible in the location.

Our dates are August 17-23

First time in Disney and new at this site. I can not do PMs yet so please e-mail me at carana2999 @ yahoo . com (remove spaces).

Thank you so much for your help (not so sure about points yet)

Hi there...I am looking at a Walt Disney World vacation with my 10 year old daughter...we would like to stay at the Polynesian resort and are planning a 2 week stay our tentative dates are Jan 16 - 30/2010 could you tell me how much it would cost us to buy the points from you to stay?

For 2 weeks, the points totals are:

1/16/2012 - 1/30/2010

Garden View - 738
Lagoon View - 919
King Kamehameha Club - 1178

You can save at least 107 of these points just by coming in on the 17th.

1/17/2012 - 1/30/2010

Garden View - 631
Lagoon View - 790
King Kamehameha Club - 1020

And even more by leaving on the 29th

1/17/2012 - 1/29/2010

Garden View - 562
Lagoon View - 702
King Kamehameha Club - 908

Disney won't have the rack rates available for this stay for another couple of weeks, so I can't tell you how much you would have to spend cash for the same accommodations.

I can possibly come up with enough points to cover anything less than 750 or so.

If you're still interested - let me know and I'll shoot you some numbers via PM or email.

Hi,

We are planning a trip to Disney World from 9/27/09-10/6/09 and hoping to stay at the Polynesian. There are two adults and a nine-year-old. We are also interested in the free dinning plan. Is that plan doable and is there availability? Thank you for your assistance!

Kim
