When Pete played my voicemail he said they could probably make it down...but I really don't know if that meant one or all, and of course they are always very busy. I am hoping once we definitely nail down the time/date one of them might be able to let me know if they can come. I know I've certainly got my fingers crossed!

It definitely looks like 8/30 will be the date for us to meet at the Aloha Isle (geez...I'm so embarrassed, I misspelled it in my poll!). We still need to decide what time in the afternoon. I believe my family will be in Epcot that day for my nephew's birthday and have ADRs for 6pm -- so I'm okay with any time earlier than 5pm. I'm sure it will Africa-hot all day...so there won't be a way to escape the heat.

So how 'bout it guys -- what time do you want to meet on 8/30?

Also, since 8/24 was the next popular date -- does anyone want to plan something for that day as well?

Once we get everything nailed down I'll PM the crew and see if any of them can possibly join us.

The parade starts @ 3pm on the 30th, so that might be a good time as far as crowds being centered in a different area. However, will there be anyone that can't make it because they want to see the parade?

Also, the 30th is on a Saturday -- are the crowds really high on the weekends even in late August (especially Labor Day Weekend)? I just don't want to be in a situation where we show up and the line for Dole Whips is so long we'll have to pay some kid to use his for a photo shoot!!! LOL

30th August is the first day after the reopening of the Liberty Square bridge, so there will probably already be largish crowds for the parade as that won't have been running fully for two weeks.

Our current plan for that day is to watch the parade at 3pm from within Frontierland and then we've got an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4pm, so a later afternoon meet (maybe 5.30-6pm?) would be easier for us. I could probably run over to quickly to say hi in the afternoon once the parade has gone past us though, as it's only round the corner from where we'll be.

Would have been fun, but we had to change our arrival date from 8/30 to 8/31 due to my niece's baby shower on 8/30. Someone can have an extra dole whip for me though!!! Hope you have a great time!!!

If there's any more than a handful of people (which hopefully there will be!) then we may have an overloaded line / melting Dole Whip issue anyway...

I suggest that there be one nominated purchaser who queues and aquires the appropriate number of these frozen delicacies, so that everyone will have a fresh one for any photos. Then we'll all have to work out how much we owe him/her!

Me and cocowum are in EPCOT that day as well and have an ADR at Chefs de France at 6:00. Looks like a dole whip followed by a trip to EPCOT on the monorail. Mid afternoon sounds perfect. 2:30 or 3:00? Whichever time, we will make it work.

Okay -- this is such a coincidence...DD and I have a 6pm ADR @ Chefs too! Is that wild? I swear you guys, I'm not a stalker! The rest of my family is going to Rose & Crown but the two of us can find nothing on the menu we're interested in. We are feeling a bit guilty though as it's my nephew's request for his birthday. Does that make me a bad person?

As far as the meet, I think we should go with 2pm to allow parade-watchers time to stop in and say hello for a few minutes before it starts. Hopefully that will be a good compromise. But, boy oh boy -- it's going to be hot, hot, hot (and hopefully we won't have any nasty thunder/lightning as well!).

I agree with you 2pm is perfect!

Too funny about the Chefs ADR. Did you use the UG for the best days calendar?
