Anyone have the link to the Joann's coupons to print out? I have to drop off for a consignment sale today and pick up a few things while out. Thanks!

Is this the fabric that you are looking for?
MickeyDisco.jpg

YES!!! THAT IS IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Tink - I sent you a PM - Daniels silent auction people would LOVE to have one of your handmade dresses for the auction!!! That would be AWESOME!!!! What a GREAT idea!! they thought this would help vary the type of things they have, since its mainly sporty stuff and gift certificates!! This will be AWeSOME!! Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooo much!! you are such a generous person!!!!!:thumbsup2

All the outfits are great!! But, Tessa vote is for the beautiful white dress with the sash. While I was scrolling through, she walked by and said "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!!" Apparently, that means she likes it!! I agree that the babydoll top would be too low without the "modesty panel". Maybe they intended for the child to wear a shirt under it??

Hi Everyone,

Such cute outfits posted!!! WOW that Easter dress is just beautiful!!!

Update on Daniel (thanks for asking) - well, he continues will the radiation and chemo and OT, PT and Speech. He now has a "talker" to help with some simple words when attempting to communicate - this really breaks my heart for him - he is getting just downright ANGRY that people cant understand him. He is also getting very very angry with his 2 little brothers (both were special needs adoptions and have autism, ADD, and possibly mental health issues). They of course dont understand why Daniel isnt regular old Daniel rigiht now and there is a LOT of frustration on both parts. I think the boys are jealous of Daniel getting to spend so much time with their Daddy and also that Daniel doesnt have to go to school - they just dont understand at all. Daniel's double vision also continues to be an issue (double vison) that is frustrating for him.

On a real positive note, his cute boyscout troop is planning a fundraiser !!! They got one of the big guys from Channel 6 Action News to be the MC for the night and are going to have a silent auction and a dinner!!! This will be soooooo helpful for the family, they are struggling with just daily life things...they have 5 kids who continue to grow, a mortgage and all the other bills to contend with....and they are living on unemployment....

All in all, we are very happy that he is doing well medically and pray that he finishes out radiation in the next 2 weeks with flying colors!!!YAY!!
Thank you for the update and for the link to the fundraiser!

My Dad started his radiation this week and it's painful for him to get on the table for it, and painful during the radiation and then to get off table, he goes home and throws up- Mom says it's from the pain, not the radiation. She apologized to me that she couldnt be here to take care of Megan so we could go away for the weekend (a plan that was discussed and forgotten a while ago). No one seems to be asking how much time these treatments will give him, I guess all the focus is on reducing his pain right now. Based on how hes moving and living now, I would guess my Dad may or may not be here for our new baby's 1st Birthday, and that's really hard to accept that this child will never know her Grampy.
My mobility is becoming more limited and I volunteered to do a homevisit this weekend- I have not idea WHY. This will be the last one for quite a while.
 This must be so hard on all of you. :grouphug:

I'm not normally one to ask for prayers but since y'all are so good at it...I'm asking. My next door neighbor's daughter is in the Navy. Last night two uniformed Naval officers showed up at their front door To make matters 1000 times worse, turns out that she was murdered by her boyfriend on the base in Virginia. My DH and his sister grew up with her so his family is taking the news very hard. Please keep them (and of course her family) in your prayers this weekend

Thanks gang
Kristine
Oh no, that is just terrible. I'll be praying for the family.

So I just started an applique shirt for DD. I still need to make the eyes bigger and add whiskers. Tell me what you think!
th_tiggerShirt002.jpg
I think it's looking cute! What kind of stitch are you using on it?

SOOO cute!!! The skirt is great, too! ;)

That's adorable!

SEWING MACHINE HELPPPPPP!!!!

Hi Guys, my old Kennmore is acting up!! I've cleaned, oiled dusted it etc, and that got rid of the squeak it was doing, but something is off with the tension, and I cant figure it out....

I can do the thread thing with the bobbin in the case (hold it by the string, shake it a bit and it goes down a little bit before it stops) and have adjusted the top tension everywhich way as well!!

What it happening is the top looks pretty okay, but underneath looks like a straight line with loops over it...??????

DH thinks it might be time for it to have a professional look at it - but i want to sew today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm no expert, but it definitely sounds like a bobbin problem. Maybe the bobbin is wound too loosely or something. Have you tried putting a different bobbin in it?

That is REALLY cute! I say make some easy fit pants, or just put some leggings under it and let your 9 year old wear it! Tessa used to be REALLY picky about the way her clothes felt when she was 2 and 3. She wouldn't wear pants for almost a year- only skirts and dresses because pants "DON'T FEEL RIGHT!!" I wish I knew how to sew then!

hey everyone. Happy valentines day.

We are sick today. one daughter has 102.7 is on the couch. Husband has 102.5 and can't get out of bed. And I have a low grade 100.8 . LUCKY ME . I got some roses today delivered. We have/had reservations and a sitter for dinner tonight. Had to cancel. Anyhow, Have a good day everyone.
I'm sorry you're all so sick!

The pics of the boys and Tessa are so precious! I really enjoyed the kids! They were all so great!!!

Dismeet people - You all are the bestest! I loved meeting all of you and your wonderful beautiful children! Thanks again to Nae Nae for driving me "home"!!! So does anyone mind if I post your gorgeous children in my trip report????

I absolutely adored you! I am so glad that I really liked everyone at the Dismeet! I was afraid someone would show up and be a big jerk in person. But, it didn't happen! All of the husbands and kids were great, too!

Awwww, poor DD just returned from Urgent Care....her bronchitus has now turned into pneumonia So now we have her on another antibiotic and more checks in a few days....

So I am getting the little one's haircut and then I will begin the trip report! Yaaaaa....I even have a great title....its going to be
"The Disboutiquers in 3-D"
Which daughter is sick?? The poor thing! I can't wait to read the TR! I don't mind you posting pics of my kids in it. But, if you could photoshop my pics to make me look thinner, that would be great! :thumbsup2

:grouphug: Hugs and prayers to everyone that need them. I am down in the dumps today. DH and I were supposed to go to the Poconos today but sadly we are both sick. I haven't slept in two days because of severe congestion. I am so disappointed,we had tickets for a concert tonight, needless to say we canceled the hotel to late, and will be charged the full price for the night $310.00 I begged the man on the phone, saying please there is no way we can drive two hours in our condition, but they wouldn't budge !! And losing 310.00 makes me even more sick. Oh well, I always get a lift from reading the boards. Can't wait to start seeing more pics from the Dismeet.
That really stinks!! I'm sorry you're so sick today and lost out on all that fun and $$!

BETH: I lost the multi-quote, but I love Taylor's post!! She is so sweet! My favorite smiley is the :snooty:. It's called :steph: on the big give board. hehehehe

BENITA: I lost your quote, too. But, the girls look SO adorable in the Valentine's outfits!!

Thanks! Carla recently updated the stripwork jumper pattern to include a "block" skirt. I don't own the simply sweet (yet :) ) but I think the difference would be that the simply sweet would offer more bodice and strap choices. Not that I've been looking over it daily contemplating buying it or anything.

Hope that helps!
BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT!! You won't regret it!

Does anyone know where I can find a pattern like this in child size? I have a commercial pattern for infants that I LOVE, but DD is almost too big for it, and I really want to keep making these swing tops for her.
http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb167/karamat26/th_DSC01116.jpg][/QUOTE]
The peasant top is SOO cute!! I love how easy that pattern is!

I know there is a free pattern in the bookmarks like that. It's called an art smock or something like that. I'll try and look for it in a minute if I have time.

Okay, I found the free one I was talking about.
This one is really similar, but ties at the shoulders. Here's the picture

Here are a couple of photos from our trip.

We all had a great time, and Leighanna got LOTS of attention from all the customs I made.

She even got picked to be in the Flag Retreat ceremony.

Isn't February supposed to be a non peak time?
DisneytripFeb10a.jpg

I still have two more memory cards to go through, and those have some photos from the Disboutique meet.

May I ask how you did the eyelashes on Lady? Did you do these by hand? The outfits are beautiful.

Now that I have a moment, I wanted to write a post.

I didn't have a chance to multi-quote everything since I was about 30+ pages behind so I am going to just summarize everything. Please forgive me if I forget something/someone!

1. The Dismeet - Everyone looked they were having a blast and I can't wait to see more pictures of everyone. I can just tell all of the kiddos were adorable in person as well as in their pictures. Of course, with all of us as parents how could they not be! Jealous of everyone that got to go and meet everyone. I really think our little group here is so special and I treasure all of my online friendships!

2. Congratulations on the baby news! I totally understand about not telling anyone until after the first trimester. I never tell anyone before that, but last year I did tell everyone on here before I told anyone else. Don't you all feel special - you all knew well before my family. I am sure this baby will be so loved and treasured given your special circumstances (not that we don't all love our babes!). Try and get some rest, eat as healthy as you can stomach (and if you can't eat healthy just eat whatever you can/feel like), and throw out the "What To Expect" book - that diet they give you is full of crap I would never eat!

3. Prayers are being said for everyone that needs them. All of our thread members that need them, neighbors, and Wish Trippers.

4. Everything I've seen has been beautiful. Great job everyone!

Hi All. Quick update. I'm still following along with everyone. Today the planes have been going over our house all day. Something with the Daytona 500. So the Blue Angels or whoever fly over every few minutes. It's fun to see them fly in formation.
I did actually go to Joann's and buy some fabric and some of the 5 for $5 patterns.
I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I have birds. Well they are driving me insane. They are Java Rice Finches. The female had two eggs and the male and female were fighting so much in the nest, the nest fell down and both eggs cracked. Now as I sit here, the male, nicknamed stupid-head, is taking a bath in his water dish. grrr...They are actually named Charlie and Lola...LOL
I will post some photos soon, when I actually sew something...I have also been thinking about Becca and hope she is doing better..any news from her parents yet?

Hi LInette!!

I spent what you told me, and this is what I was able to find! 2 yards of everything except the one pink princess with the white on the bottom, and the princess faces......

:lmao: :thumbsup2 Just this Friday night I found the Pink Princess fabric and bought the last 2 yard's they had for a steal, 3.50 a yard. Last week I bought the Princess pillowcase fabric. :thumbsup2

I am about to turn in for the night but wanted to post a couple of pictures first! I bet I took over 100 at the meet! Here is a small preview of the fun to come!

Thanks very, very much!! I skimmed the What to Eat When you are expecting book at the library and am trying to eat mostly healthy stuff, but like you said sometimes some stuff I just can't stomach. I had the hardest time today at Dinner, but thankfully the veggies were great, it was the meat I just could not eat much of. I am so extra excited, but also scared. I am trying to find a good ob-gyn or mid wife. We are touring a birth center tomorrow and I'll be looking at some other places. Thanks so much for the support, well wishes, thoughts and prayers - they mean so much to me, especially when there are so few people that know (DH, mom and my brother). . . but I think it would be harder for me if anything happened if I had to tell everyone. . . plus, it is sometimes fun to have a secret and to think of how we will tell people. . . Thanks again, very much!

 Great pics Jessica and Elisa :yay: .....so wonderful hearing from you! :goodvibes I tried posting more installments but things aren't going well...either its my computer or its photobucket and the Dis. In any case I have worked up to around 10:30 am....hahahaha :rotfl:

Hey Everyone! With being gone to Chicago last week and trying to sew Valentine's Day dresses this week, I haven't been online at all. I got the girls dresses done finally (Thursday night - the night before they were wearing them to school) at 1:00 am. So I thought I would share the pictures. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Here are my girls, Grace and Claire showing off their dresses and their presents from their school parties yesterday after school.

They are so adorable...and the dresses are pretty cute too.

So I've had Carla's Peasant top pattern for over a year now, and I finally made it last night. I'm so in love with this pattern!! I can't wait to make another one.

(wow, she surprised me and said that is it...hahaha)

edited to add....Taylor wanted me to tell you guys that her favorite is the blue guy with the hair popping up!!! Hahahaha

Thanks Taylor!!! Like Heather, I'm a big fan of the :steph: :snooty: and this one: :laundy: confuses Arminda. She tries to figure out why the smiley is tired after only putting up three pieces of laundry. I tried to explain to her that it's because it is never ending, but she didn't get it! Someday, when she is a Mom, she will get it!

The dad, David emails an update to me everyday around 10 PM, so if you check around then on their PTR, you should get the latest updates. She seems to be doing better today, not great but better. She has a CT scan tomorrow. The doctors are saying she will probably be in the hospital for 8 weeks.

Hi! :wave2: I had to take a few days off work so we have been busy around here. (I'm getting close to my anniversary date and it was use it or lose it!)
I only read this page so far but Had to comment on this one!!
Has anyone made any Disney on Ice outfits?
If so post pictures please! ;)

I'm going on march 7th. And I hadn't even thought of them! I did do outfits for playhouse disney LIVE on stage before though. I'll see if I can find those pictures. If I get time I might do an iron on or applique t for the boys and a jumper for the girl. Hmmmm now I have some decisions to make! :scratchin

Are you seeing Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey or the Disneyland one?
I really should just let her wear the Minnie and Mickey dress I just made, but I just keep seeing skating Mickeys in my head!
