That quilt is fantastic!!! I can't believe you made it so fast, too!!

Help needed!
I'm looking for a Timothy mouse applique, or embroidery (for my embroidery machine) for Tessa and Sawyer's Dumbo outfits. The only one I've seen is from Divas*Doodles on ebay, but they're so expensive and her designs don't seem to stitch out right on my machine. Has anyone seen one anywhere else? I'd also be happy to hear about any other Dumbo-themed appliques or embroideries, like the birds and such.

I bought a cashmere sweater on clearance yesterday for $13 that I LOVE. But the seam came apart at the sleeve. Do you think I can try to sew it with regular thread? There seem to be 'hooks' of regular thread coming out so maybe??! Or maybe I should just take it back. I don't know. Any thoughts?

So DH and I decided to do some pricing and we found out that with the 40% discount that Disney emailed me we will be able to afford a trip to WDW. We are thinking about going the week of Oct. 25-31. That means that we would get to see WDW at Halloween. I think that we are going to keep this one a secret from Jenna until we absolutely have to tell her.
DO IT!!! Then you'll be able to meet me!!!! Ash's birthday is the 24th

Here it is:

GORGEOUS. :thumbsup2 Always in awe of people who have the patience to make patchwork twirl skirts! All that math :sad2:

Fantastic find at Joann's with the fabric! I wish ours would get some cotton Disney fabric in. All we have is flannel and fleece Disney (and I live in Dallas so it's not really needed). And I love the polka dots but our Joann's never has the pink polka dot in and I really want it. I swear if I ever see it I'll buy the whole bolt!

Thank you. I'm all set for the white T (THANKS TO JESSICA!!!!!) but if you ever want Minnie dot, please PM and I'd be happy to pick it up. We have pink, red, blue, brown, orange, green, and yellow on a regular basis. We also usually have the big dots on red but they didn't have any yesterday.

Guess What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Temp since 7pm tonight!:cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:
I think he is finally over it, now I'm praying no one else gets it!

Congrats! So happy he is feeling better!

So pretty. I just got this fabric in the fabric swap. What a gorgeous quilt this makes!

I think we should all get together for the movie night at the fort with chip n dale and make smores!!! ::yes::

Oh we should! I've always wanted to go to the movie night but we've never made it over there.

Me too!!! Is there a pattern for it??

Our Joann's doesn't carry much of the Disney licensed. Also, they NEVER have any minnie dot!! I did talk to someone yesterday who said that if I write down the sku# from online, they will order it for me. I think I will try that!!

Ok totally not clothing but I made some progress this weekend. I wanted to make a baby quilt for a couple at our church having their first. They are really young and have only been married for a year or so so they're still just starting out. I think they're 22 or so...anyway, I got to start it Friday, got it finished yesterday:

I'm gonna have to make some of those skirts for my DD. She hates wearing pants. Maybe once I clear out a couple of projects in my sewing room my DH won't cringe if he sees me start something new.

Beautiful--the colors are so pretty together.

Me too!!! Is there a pattern for it??

I think Carla makes a patchwork twirl pattern??? I just had 6 squares each of 11 different materials, so I put 1 row of 11 squares, the next row has 22 squares and the last row has 33 squares.

Don't need the ruffler--but WOW! what a beautiful picture!!!

:rotfl2: That was an accident! I had thought I'd copied and pasted the link, but I had just pasted that picture of Tessa over on the Big Give board!

I have to defend my parenting and say that he must not have had an ear infection for the entire time because it wasn't a very bad one! I think the congestion and everything from the virus he had caused him to get an ear infection. At least, that's what I tell myself to make me feel better about waiting so long to take him in!

I was not ragging on your parenting AT ALL! I was trying to say, I guess not very well, that what can start out as a virus can turn into something worse if it just lingers like it did with Sawyer. I was not saying you were neglecting poor Sawyer by not taking him to the doctor right away: I'm sorry! :flower3:

Cool but I think you need to stay at least an extra day because I arrive Nov 1st!!!!! though I may end up there with just the kids a few days early or I might stay a few days extra with the kids. I haven't decided.
Come early with the kids. If we stayed another night we would have to do it off-site. We will be using a 40% off code that is only good for Oct 25-31 . But Jenna and I would love to meet you and the kids.:thumbsup2

Very pretty. I love it. I wish I had the patience to quilt.

That's really odd! You'd think after a company goes through a recall, they would be extra careful about contamination. So, I would think those products would be extra safe to carry!
You would think so. I have been looking for that chilli for a while now. It was my favorite for putting on hot dogs.

Yay!!! Ok so now I have to.

That is so cute. I love it. However I will never be able to convince DH that I need it.

I knew you weren't! I was planning on rewording that before I posted it, but I forgot! But, thanks for the flower!

I just looked at CarlaC's patterns. Too cute!!! I want to do one of the bundles. I wish there was a make your own bundle. I want the stripwork jumper, patchwork twirl and simply sweet :) Oh, I want the easy fit pants too :)

Hi Friends,

No time to read as we are heading up to the mountain. It is my first time on a new board that I got last year on a Pro form. I also got new bindings for Christmas.

I have only been riding once this year and spent 9/10 of the day teaching DS BFF how to snowboard. I am pretty scared!

We went to the city and I spent $36 at Joann's and $46 at Wal-mart:crazy2: But I have some great fabrics for big gives.

Have a great day I will catch up with everyone tomorrow.

My suggestion would be to buy whatever bundle she has and purchase additional patterns as available. You will eventually use ALL of them. Her patterns truly are the staples of my sewing repertoire! They are so versatile, and easy, and VERY cute! I can't say enough good about her patterns. Any seamstress should own EVERY SINGLE ONE of them! And, no, she's not paying me to say that!
