Ahh forgot about those Rooms 6000-6034 and 6130-6166 are enclosed. I always request 5th floor.

Maybe you'll see me. We are at WL from 1/15 to 1/17.

That reminds me... I think it was you, Brian who told me that to get what I was looking for I should request a 5th floor room in the North wing. OMG!!! Thank you so much!!! we had the best room. (or at least I thought it was ) We were not at all far from Roaring Fork or the pool or the boat launch...and even a quick walk through the lobby got us to the bus stop in no time. We were in 5045... and it was wonderful for us. I doubt my dh will ever want to stay anywhere else. In fact, he stayed in the room a lot... it wasn't until we got home and he mentioned that he didn't feel bad at all soaking up WL since we paid more to stay there than we did to be in the parks. I was so conflicted the entire time.. I wanted to be at both places. If only he had shared his wisdom with me while we were there I think I might have had a more relaxed time of it.

Sounds like a great room! We were in 5071 which is right around the corner from that opening to the lobby. I really like the rooms on that upper part of the inner courtyard. We had a room down closer to the pool and I did not like sitting on the balcony as much. I think it was more noise. I'm glad it worked out for you.

We usually plan a full day just to sty at the resort. This time though it will be during our AKL time.

Remember to keep sharing ideas like that with others on here so they can enjoy the time too!

We are checking into WL on Jan 17. Flight gets in at 4:10. Long day, flight starts at 6:10 am I hope we get to WL around 5:30. I plan to get to DME as soon as I can!! So if your around and see a blond middle age woman, and brunette 26 yr old daughter with her, checking in, that would be us!!

EXCELLENT!!!

Just so you know at check in with the room number:
First digit is the floor number of course.
If second digit is a 0 you are in the north wing or lobby area. 1 is south wing.
Last digit has to be odd in order to be an inner courtyard room.

We don't have the enclosure, but a iron type railing. I don't know if I can attach a pic from my phone but I have a nice view of the bears nose & mouth. There's lit up garland in there now that could resemble teeth

Yesterday I tweaked our summer 25th anniversary trip. I replaced AKL with WL and dumped RPC and extended BWI. I'm so excited to have two WL trips booked and I also changed our dates so now we'll actually be at WL on our anniversary

Thank you, Sue! I feel much better about our plans now. I think the two splits Vs. the three I had is better. We have 5 nights BWI and then 8 nights WL and it seems so much more special now that we're actually at WL on our anniversary (albeit with DD13).

Now, where should we go for dinner. I was thinking HDDR is always a lot of fun for everyone and memorable, too. Or maybe CA Grill? Hmmm... I have a month to fuss over this!

My fav 2TS is Narcoossee's Love the steak & lob! And we timed it for Wishes. I guess I'm one of the few that was underwhelmed with Cali Grill!

I love doing split stays with 2 resorts, last Aug we did 7 nights POR & 5 at BC.
It was great.

11 days till we're at WL. Hope it warms up! Heard from a friend whis is there now and it was 30 when she arrived

I'm gonna have to join this thread. I'm seriously considering VWL in May or October of 2013. All these pictures of WL/VWL are so beautiful! I'm really loving this resort! I didn't think I would like this resort because I'm not an outdoorsy/camping gal, but it looks really nice. I have a feeling DBF will really like it.

I definitely hope you can book the room you want. The only issue at VWL is that there are not many rooms with other than a woods view. I think I'd miss the CY view too much.

I love surf and turf, too. in fact, I also love turf and turf and surf and surf.

CA Grill can be hit or miss. You can have a wonderful server and view or you might get a not-so-great non-window seat and a so-so server. I guess since I found out about the rumor that CA Grill is closing down this year, I feel like I need to go one last time before it comes back as a completely different restaurant. Who knows though, it might already be closed in August, but the rumor is that it will close the last 1/4 of the year.

Has anyone been to Artist Point fairly recently? We haven't been there in years.

(finally), Hannah! If DBF is even a little excited about the outdoors, than WL is the place for him. It's like two resorts in one since FW is just a short walk or boat ride away. You might also want to consider a STD WL room and compare that rate with the VWL rate. The STD rooms do sell out quickly though since they're a great deal and often, those guests are upgraded

I complained with my wallet by canceling RPC. And, as you know, pas130 also canceled her RPC booking and Lulu'sMom will be heading over to BC or YC instead of her beloved GF because of the construction. So I can only imagine there must be MANY other potential GF guests who are booking elsewhere.

Your Lodge stays are coming up real soon! When will you be back to WDW after your next trip? Are you really able to wait over a year?

Thanks! I don't mind about the view as long as it isn't a terrible view. Like a parking lot view.

I was thinking of renting points for VWL since it will probably be cheaper. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to afford a deluxe resort. But I will take a look into the standard rooms. I showed DBF what WL looks like by showing him the pictures from this thread and he likes, but he's ok with BWV and BLT. I was hoping to wow him, but it didn't happen. I still think VWL would be a good choice because it's definitely growing on me, but we shall. That might change.

Yeah, it's sounding like a mass exodus from GF.

We are going to most likely go on a cruise because it will be easier. We did the carnival one out of bmore and really enjoyed it.

I'll always live vicariously thru you!!!!
