42 days to go, I think I should be getting my DME soon :goodvibes Those Pecan Mickey Waffles look yummy!

:mickeybar Oh good Lord, all of those mickey waffles look amazing....I'm normally a picky eater, but when it comes to breakfast, I love almost anything...including those waffles. I almost fainted at the chocolate ones in the upper left corner. :lmao:

I'm so looking forward to being there next week. I just hope the temps stay how they are looking right now. 70's/50's sound good to me. Perfect hottub weather!!!:banana::banana:

Fingers crossed we get a bear face room like I requested!

We will be checking in on December 17 for my 30th birthday (which is the 18th). Our home-town college is in a bowl game on the 17th for the first time in 40 years. Do the rooms have ESPN?
Thanks for all the great info on this thread. I've been reading it for months in anticipation of our trip. It's our first stay at deluxe (and Wilderness) and I am so excited!

I have a room for 3 nights..
I have called 3 times now requesting that it be a Balcony Room.

First time i called was the initial reservation i asked for balcony room and was told for sure.

second time i called the CM said it was not written in the reservation adn she put it in, she also put in that it was part of my Honey Moon,

Third time i called the lady said i see the request BUT it is only a request never definite....

THIS IS THE ONLY REASON I WENT UP TO THIS LEVEL OF HOTEL

BUT i also told her that we were getting married the 2 day we are there and I REALLY WANT A BALCONY....

She put me on hold and came back and said dont worry it is taken care of

SHOULD I STILL WORRY.......

IF you are wondering, YES IT WILL REALLY MAKE ME VERY UPSET....WE are only going in the park one day........I REALLY JUST WANT A BALCONY!!!

I know this is a busy week for them with the races etc....
SHOUDL I DO ANYTHING ELSE????:confused3

No, the rooms at Wilderness Lodge have Fox Sport. The bar doesn't show ESPN either - at least it didn't in May when we stayed there. I think we ended up at ESPN at the Boardwalk for all the sport we wanted to see, although the Poly has soccer sometimes in the Tambu Lounge, which may well have been on ESPN.

I am confused. Don't all the rooms except for first floor have balconies? Now you have me worried cause I thought by booking this resort there would be a balcony or patio...

I always thought all rooms except 1st floor patios have balconies.

:goodvibes Seems like a few Disers are going to be at WL soon! So, will someone post a pic of the coffee? Or just tell me what brand they now have for the Pods? :surfweb: TIA! Hope you all have wonderful Christmas trips.

I was corresponding with the wonderful Club Level Manager, Randy and I asked him about the current status for the top to bottom room rehab. He said that currently the rehab is slated to begin April 15th. For those of you keeping score at home, the original date was December, then it was moved to February and now April - will June be next?:scratchin

Thank you so much!! :thumbsup2
You're welcome, Miffy.

All the rooms have balconies, except the first floor which have patios. If you told them it was your honeymoon and then they told you "it was taken care of," it's possible (just guessing here - no promises) that they may have upgraded you to the Honeymoon Suite (photos are on the first page). There are four of these and they are all on the 7th floor (club level). Two face toward the MK and two face toward the VWL. The only negative to being on the 7th floor is that ALL the balconies are "standing only" balconies which mean you need to be standing to see over them because they are a solid railing that you really can't see through when sitting.

I wouldn't worry anymore if I were you. You can even look-up your reservation online and see if your room category has been changed. The room assignor will generally assign the room 2-4 days prior to arrival, so you should at least be able to see if there have been any changes made at that point, if not now.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

I hope you get your request, too. And, yes, 70's sound like perfect getting-out-of-the-hot tub weather:thumbsup2.

I could suck it up with the privacy balcony if it came with a gold KTTW card :rotfl:

Our last stay we were stuck with this type balcony, but it wasn't CL :sad2:

thankyou for that great information

When i asked if it wasnt a balcony what would it be
she said something to the effect of it being a "view of the courtyard"
Dont remember her exact words but what ever she said made me think it must have been a window view.

BUT maybe she was meaning the patio.

IT would be wonderful to have an upgrade to the suite...
OF course who wouldnt want that:thumbsup2

But honestly i will just be happy to have a balcony.

Again thankyou:goodvibes

when requesting a magic kingdom side woods view room, what is the proper term? I've read: North side, north building, north wing. Which is correct? I just want to be sure to get my request right! Excited to be there over MLK weekend but a little worried about TP crowd predictions!

I think stating a room facing MK/north upper floor would do it. There are a lot of trees in the way, but you may be able to see the higher fireworks.
I requested that view last visit, but got a free upgrade to courtyard view :goodvibes

Jenny,

Ive gone over MLK weekend for the past two years. It is definitely not that bad. I really enjoy think the late EMHs at the MK are great if you can do it. We had the park basically to ourselves and walked on most rides.

If you want a MK view, request a 5th floor, North Wing. That will be fine.

Brian<--who just did online check in!!

:banana::banana::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Yay! This morning I just paid in full our WL room only res. 41 more days to go :yay:

Does anyone know where the rehab is supposed to start?. I have a reservation at the WL Club level starting on April 22 and I'm wondering if the rehab will affect us?. I emailed IPO last week but have yet to hear anything. I don't really care about noise and dust but this is our first CL stay and I'm not sure what to expect.

WDWKOOK just answered this one:

Since it keeps moving I would not worry about it too much.

Brian

I am a bit confused. I have seen a lot of information about "best" rooms, but I think that it has all been for WL, not the Villas. What are the views like from the Villas? Is there any "better" view or location that I should request?
