(CLOSED) Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE and VILLAS Information Thread

Just got back from our 4 night stay at WL. I was traveling with my two 14 year old nephews who really loved it. We were in deluxe room 5000 with club access. The lodge is beautiful. Staff was wonderful and super friendly. The staff in the club was so nice and it felt like they really cared. OFC is so big with plenty of seating. Prior to our stay at WL we stayed at the Boardwalk 3 times and I have to say that there is a much warmer and friendly feel at the WL. The boys said they liked WL so much more because of the staff.

Our room was newly renovated with new carpet, white comforters on beds and new bathroom tile. Some people say they didn't like the enclosed balcony but I'm under 5 foot tall and didn't mind it at all. I asked for a courtyard view but ended up with a Bay Lake view. The view was beautiful but it was pretty noisy because it was right by the boat dock and the geyser that goes off every hour and it's loud. It was also really far from the OFC. We weren't really bothered by the noise but for someone who wants to take a nap in the middle of the day, it could be a problem. The good thing was that we had a great view of the Electric Water Pageant and a partial view of Wishes.

I don't know if there was any rehad going on while we were there because we didn't see any signs of it. I took some pictures and if someone could tell me how to load them I'd be happy to share.

Thanks for your mini TR and welcome back! I felt the same way about BWI/CL when compared with WL/CL.

To post photos here you have to have an IMG code. To get an IMG code for each photo, you will have to have an account on a photo sharing site such as PhotoBucket (a basic account is free). You then upload your photos to the site and into your account and it will generate an IMG code. You copy and paste the IMG codes into your post and your photos will magically appear. Let me know if you need more help.

I saw on the RC thread possible WL CL issues....I feel better now. As kook can recall DH and I were bumped from RPC last year, if we were bumped from OFC this year...I would get the whole "I told you Disney is punishing you for all your changes"

I'm a little confused about the bathroom situation in the one bedroom villas... Is there only one toilet and one shower? I was considering it as an option for my family plus my mom, but thought she would have her own bathroom. Looking at the first page it appears we'd all have to share a bathroom. Is that right?

The only 1BR villas with 2 bathrooms are BLT & Kidani.

WOOHOO! So it's an add-on, but still very exciting. I remember reading through this thread when I was first considering adding on, but life got in the way (as it does) and some time has passed. And I have the memory of a stick.

Is there any particular view that anyone likes to request at the villas? I remember seeing one view that had a view of the pool with Bay Lake in the background?

Me too And as soon as I wrote I don't wanna change, and said the dreaded "I am good with our trip to DH" I am waffling....and I don't know why....it's gonna be a long month
