I asked about a rollaway bed or something like that and they said it is not permitted on club level..ugh..what to do what to do. The man said that rooms change constantly and that doesn't mean that I won't get bunkbeds on CL, there is just none available right now

The CM thinks that no bunks are available because they are not a bookable CL category and he/she can't "see" them:sad2:

Macavity, who provided the first rehabbed room photos which are linked to on the first page, was in a new bunk bed room on club level at the beginning of this month. They DO EXIST on CL. If you book the room, have the CM add "bunk beds, please" to your reservation, then email the IPO with your confirmation number and ask them to verify that the request is in your reservation because you have two teenage boys.

BTW, rollaways are not provided/allowed in any rooms due to room size constraints and fire codes, etc...

Forgot to ask - when is your trip?

We are going July 13th through July 22nd. I haven't been there since my son was 3 and he doesn't really remember it at all and i think I am more excited that he is. My husband also loves disney and this is our first time there together with our boys and he deserves to have a super special time after all that he has gone through with being in Iraq etc.

You will be there when the South Wing's 7th floor (CL) is due to start it's rehab (July 7-27). The lounge will have to be relocated at that time so that all the carpeting in the hallways can be replaced. The lounge might be relocated to the VP Suite in the North Wing. The North Wing's 7th floor was completed earlier this month.

Whatever you do, make sure you have noted in your reservation that this trip is also a celebration of your husband's "return from deployment" and your first trip to WDW as a familypixiedust:

Do I really want to stay there when they are doing rehab? Is there another resort with CL that you think might be better to stay at? Don't like the thought of all that work going on when I am on vacation

Looks like your dates overlap mine. :goodvibes. We are there 7/15-7/25!!

If you are staying club level, you will 98% certain be in the North Wing, as the South Wing CL rooms will be started while we are there. Since the North wing will be done, you will be removed from the side of the resort with construction. On top of that, Disney really tries to "hide" constructions projects so you should be good. I have certainly taken into consideration the construction, but I'm not letting it deter me because it's on the other side of the hotel and I want to stay at the WL sooooooo bad!!!! :yay:

So I can get a standard CL room for a great price only about $500 over what the other floor room with a bunk bed room would be, but they said they have no bunk beds on the CL, I said none available or none and they said they do not have bunk beds on the CL..so now what do i do, now I want the CL, but I know my two boys will absolutely not sleep in a queen bed together for 9 nights..suggestions?

We stayed CL 2 years ago July and had bunk beds. We requested a North facing room and had view of the fireworks every night! It was perfect for our first trip to WDW.

I just got off the phone and have booked CL and put a request in for a room with bunk beds, lets all pray..LOL. I think my family will be really surprised from what everybody has said about CL.

thanks to all

Just looked at pics of the new rooms! I think I may be in the minority, I was expecting them to wow me but :confused3

Things I loved was the new drapes, carpets, no more bedspread :goodvibes loved the cute thumper pillow, wood floor entry way, tiles.

Things i was disappointed in was they kept same furniture, and didn't esp like the character tiles in the tub, would have rather a nice border tile. Did they replace the air conditioner units? They are loud!!! Same sink units. I liked the brown leather back of the beds more then the red. Loud?

Guess i was expecting a more complete refirb instead of halfway. But that's just my opinion. :goodvibes

Cshel, Just got a chance to read through the latest posts.

I think you will love staying on the CL floor. I see you requested bunks. Please make sure you get with the IPO and let them know that bunks are very important to your stay being comfortable! Put the note in there about your boys. With the construction being done the CL floor inventory will be cut in half. There are a bunch of bunks on the Northwing which is already renovated. Especially because some face the Magic Kingdom and the kids (and adults) love that.

IPO is very accommodating! They will do their best to get you want you need.

Please tell your husband thank you for all his has done for our safety! And you also as a military wife!!

Have a wonderful trip.

@mousemommy, so great to hear that you will be there at the same time as us. I have also emailed the IPO and told them the situation and that the CM put a special request in for us to have bunk beds because of my two boys having to share a bed and they won't be happy. Told them it was an extra special trip.

Only other thing I need is some special "treats" to be delivered for the boys and my husband to find upon arrival. My husband loves Star Wars, so something along a basket with that stuff would be great and well my boys just LOVE food..LOL

any thoughts?

Good morning WL Lovers!

We are getting really excited for our September trip (less than 150 days!) and my hubby had a quick question:

He fell in LOVE with the breakfast croissant at All Star Movies when we stayed there a few months ago and when I told him that I was 'pretty sure' that it was on the Roaring Forks menu, he wanted me to MAKE SURE to ask the Dissers, and prove it with a photo, if possible! (He doesn't trust me after I told him I was pretty sure that POR had it too - they don't :rotfl2: )

(FYI - here is what I am looking for, if you are unsure of what the breakfast croissant is!)

So, can anyone say for certain that WL has this item? Thanks so much!!!

Roaring Fork has a croissant sandwich on their breakfast menu. I have never had it so cannot guarantee it is the same thing. This thread has some WL experts, Hopefully they can help you more.

Between the menu that WeCantWait posted and this photo I found posted in 2007 on the DISboards HERE, I think that should prove it to DH:)

Congratulations on booking CL! Today you posted about in-room gifts so here is a link to items you can order for your room:

AllEars advertises a custom in-room celebration service called Gifts of a Lifetime:

The IPO can also help you;)

@WDWKOOK, thank you for the information. The IPO has been in touch and said that they put in a special request for a bunk bed room on the CL, but cannot guarantee it but the room schedulers at WL try their best to accomodate what visitors want as far as their rooms go.

I did some research on SOG and I think the tickets that are called Stars and Stripes passes might be the best deal for us, my husband doesn't want to get AP because we are not positive we can come back within a year which rules at TIW...

Thanks to all for all the help

What is the best way to get from Airport to hotel and then from Hotel back to Airport. We are flying with an airline that I don't think we can check in early at the hotel when leaving.

The room assignor at WL is wonderful and will do all she can to accommodate your request.

I'm not sure what you mean by: "We are flying with an airline that I don't think we can check in early at the hotel when leaving." Do you mean that you are using a carrier that is not eligible for Disney's Magical Express? It's a free transportation service to/from MCO. I have Magical Express info. on the first page of this thread.

You might want to also consider the "Magic Your Way" tickets (click on "regular WDW tickets") through SOG. I think they are cheaper than the S&S.

Regardless of airline, you should still be able to use magical express. It's just a matter of getting off the plane and down to the ME boarding area and hopping on the bus. As far as Resort Airline Check-In...no, not all airlines participate but you would still be able to take your luggage onto the ME bus back to the airport. What airline are you using?

We are using Frontier, we got a great price out of a small airport not far from our home.

Does the ME pick up at one location and drop off at different hotels, or pick up a group that are going to a particular hotel?

Magic Your way Tickets if we add the hopper for the water parks I think were more expensive.

We will be there 8 full days, not sure how many days to buy for the park? My husband said he wants to go to a park everyday, but you can be at a water park for an entire day, I know that from being there is 2001.
