What's the latest check out time? We have a 6:20pm flight back to SF and we'd like to hit AK early and get to Tusker's House for breakfast. Will we be able to hold our bags at WL or can we schedule a pick up at AK? I distinctly remember we got picked up at AK before we started our DCL cruise. Can they do the same to go to the airport?

I believe that your DME bus trip has to be from your resort, but we have had no problem checking out of the resort in the morning, dropping off our checked bags, and leaving our carry on bags with Bell Services while we hit a park on the last day. Then we came back to WL, picked up our bags, and got right on the DME bus. Next time we decided not to cut it quite so close though, because we were really watching the clock during the trip back to WL.

It will be interesting to see if anybody has changed their DME pickup to a different resort.

Do they do a soup/stew every night? Do they do a cobbler every night too?

:goodvibes

The main dish is usually different; one night it was a soup and sandwich, one night beef stew, another night it was Sheppard's pie. There will be cobbler every night from 8-10...and it is outstanding!!!!! :thumbsup2

Saw on another thread that there will also be a room renovation going on where the staff may need to enter rooms between 9 and 5 ? Anyone else hear this?

Ok, so should I request a certain section in my on-line check-in - Mom/Daughter trip and we've never stayed before. Just want a nice view is all, we're really not picky (courtyard rate). Is there an area close to bus stop that has a Bay View Lake view or main pool view? The buildings you get to select from with on-line check-in seem like they are Poly resort??

Also some silly last minute questions:
Are pool towels provided?
Where do we get the refillable mugs?
I have very old paper Disney park tickets, where can I find out if anything is left on them?
Easiest way to get to Poly? Boat to Magic Kingdom and them Monorail??
We booked through Orbitz and I forgot to reserve ME until tonight. Do you think we'll be ok?
Also, we were doing carry on only, but I'm torn whether to check a bag with our sunscreen (and we'd obviously fill it with other stuff) or maybe just ship it ahead (there's a flat rate box for 5.95) - but don't want it to get lost. Anyone ever done this before?

Getting very excited, we've been to Disney as a family a few times, but this is the first time for just me and my DD 19 - she's really looking forward to exploring Epcot; but we just scheduled one day there (and two at MK).

Thank you for your help!!!!

I was told that there was a room refresh scheduled. I was told that it means they would be changing out some of the linens.

The check in must be messed up. The WL is just one building. :confused3

Are pool towels provided?
Yes, there are towels at the pools.
Where do we get the refillable mugs?
They are at Roaring Forks, the counter service restaurant.

I would call Disney to see if they can give you that information. If they can't do it then Guest Services at the parks should be able to do it.

We took the boat to CR and then the monorail to the Poly.

Call ME as soon as possible. You'll be able to schedule your rides, but they won't be able to ship your luggage tags to you. They tell you how they can handle your luggage when you call them. :)

Hi guys we are off to the WL during the pool closure. I saw it mentioned that there will be some reduction to the room rate, I have never experienced this before does anyone have any idea what an acceptable amount would be? Also does anyone know what case by case means, who shouts the loudest! Or based on the guests that are staying. We need to decide what our options are, we are there for 14 nights so a rate reduction could add up and sway us to stay as would love to be at WL as having young kids being close to mk is a big plus, but it's an expensive trip coming from oz, to pay that amount and have no main pool would be dissapointong. I don't think we can afford to pay more for the other deluxes but not keen on downgrading to moderate. I'm so confused.

These are all good questions and we probably won't know if people are getting rate reductions unless they start to post them here on the Dis. I am sure that the loudest complainers would get the best deal. That seems to be the way it usually goes. I would plan my trip without counting on a rate reduction, just in case.

CL dining question? If my son's plane lands at Orlando around 5:30 pm and they will be taking the DME, will they arrive in enough time to grab a bite at the OFC. Still debating if I should get a late ADR somewhere or just use Roaring Forks?

They should arrive by 7:30pm unless traffic is really bad. There is a $10 charge per person if you don't show up for an ADR, so I would be inclined to plan on either club level, Roaring Forks or the Territory Lounge for dinner.

has disney said there might be a room discount during the pool being closed?

Someone who was at the resort was told by staff there might be rate reductions on a case by case basis after check in (which to me is totally ridiculous!).

That means they aren't going to volunteer a rate reduction but if you express you disappointment you are likely to get some type of extra compensation either in cash or some other form.

I keep seeing where everyone with reservations during the pool rehab dates is receiving a letter from WDW about the rehab. We are arriving October 3rd for 10 days, and still have not received a letter. Has EVERYONE received one but us? :confused3
