Cool on getting a direct call too. Not too worried here on the subject to change statement; she also said the dates were pretty much set, and at this point, with all the info here, I'm pretty comfortable with it. :goodvibes

On a side note, I can't believe I just flipped the calendar to July 1st! Man, time is FLYING, and as much as I want this next trip to get here, summer needs to slow down a bit! I don't want it to be over either!!!! :rotfl:
I'm glad the dates are set. We've been planning this trip back to WDW since December last year for a number of celebrations. We're going there for the first time deluxe (couple of weeks before you guys) and happy to know that we will see WL in all its glory. :goodvibes

So DH got his dates changed back to coming home Sept 28 and returning Nov 6 so we are Definitely going to WDW! :cool1:

Off topic, I was stupid and asked if they had any rocket attacks since he has been there (they have dramatically reduced since he was there 2 years ago) and nonchalantly he says 'Oh yeah, one hit just before we landed and we got yelled at to STOP!!! when we were taxing back to the hangar' :scared1:
Sooooooooo I don't think I am going to be asking that question again any time soon.

How exciting! We booked a STD View at YC-CL and when I got our text I tried looking up the room on the (very old) YC room number map. We were upgraded to a SAB/Lagoon View room and we could even see some of Illuminations!
:cool1:pixiedust:

Yes, DD has her own queen sleeper, TV and sink area. The bathroom is a Jack & Jill style with 2 pocket doors leading to the master with 2 queens and its own mini balcony. No issues at all with 7035 - we loved it. The guest in the Deluxe room was very unhappy not being on the 7th floor so we offered to switch the evening we checked in. The next morning, we were notified of the switch. The WL staff were very grateful we helped another guest. WL had been at 100% occ. so no other 7th floor rooms were available. I was happy to make the sacrifice:snooty:. The staff throughout the resort are the best.
:goodvibes Those deluxe rooms look nice, but I can understand wanting to be on the same floor as the lounge :thumbsup2

For anyone who has used ME, do you know what other resorts shared the bus and what stop WL was? Arriving mid afternoon and trying to see if we can squeeze in a dinner somewhere.

Ours was WL first, and GF. Poly, and CR were on the same route

Hi all! After lurking on the former board and reading through it entirely, I jumped over to this current one and have read through it as well.

Although we have no definite trip planned, I know we will be staying at WL for it! There are a few considerations we have to make before actually planning this trip.
DH was just medically retired from the AF at the end of May, so right now he is just working a temporary job while waiting to get on somewhere better. Older DS just graduated high school at the end of May and was planning on jr. college then transferring, but in April decided he wants to join the AF! Now he's just waiting on that process so we don't know when he'll be going to basic since he definitely wants to go in with a guaranteed job. Then we'll have to see about tech. school and when he can get off. Younger DS will be starting high school this fall, so his school and activity schedules will also have to be considered.

Thank you to everyone here for all their contributions and advice! I feel very prepared for this "some time in the future" trip. We've been to eat at WL several times and we've said we want to stay here. All the research I've done here has just sealed the deal. I look forward to keeping up here with all the happenings!

Hello, Lodgers:wave:
My apologies for not multi-quoting. We are having a fabulous stay and I've been busy morning till night:goodvibes. We checked into WL from YC on Wednesday. We couldn't wait to get here and we arrived at the Lodge around 8:30.

After our first night in 7035 in the North Wing, which is the mirror image of our favorite room 7127, we were moved to a Deluxe Room:goodvibes. This is our first stay in a Deluxe room and the CY view and extra room is wonderful. I'll go into more detail later.

Sounds like you're having a great time, KOOK :goodvibes. Hope you are enjoying the deluxe room. Love the pics, especially the early morning one :cloud9:.

Enjoy the rest of your trip :wizard:.

Just returned from a three night stay at the Lodge at we were upgraded to a Club Level Jr. Suite! I have been staying at WL for 20 years and even am a DVC owner at VWL and have never been upgraded like this. A very nice surprise!!:cool1:

Congrats on the great upgrade :thumbsup2.

How nice of you to switch rooms :flower3:. Hope you are enjoying the deluxe room.

I am THRILLED and so EXCITED that today we booked a Christmas stay at WL. I was jumping up and down like a kid, not a teenage kid:rolleyes2, but a younger kid:yay:

There is a new "guest enhancement" that started today at WCC. Guests may choose to opt in or opt out of all the high-jinks and hilarity by simply choosing the green side of a coaster or the red side.

We had one hilariously fun late lunch at WCC today. I managed to down TWO vanilla milk shakes and order the skillet. The first skillet we received had no ribs, but the second did, so if it's missing, just ask. We thought they weren't included with lunch anymore, but they are. Remember to also ask for your all-you-can-drink milk shakes without whipped cream so as to increase your ice cream consumption;)

David was our server and he was perfectly sarcastic and funny. We were his last guests before he departs later today for home to be with his family over the Fourth. He just accepted a position with DCL which he is very happy about. Exciting times lay ahead, but he will be missed at WCC.

Yay for booking a Christmas trip :yay:. Christmas is probably my favorite time of year to be in Disney. Everything is so festive and there is so much going on. It won't be long before it's that time and you'll be back :santa:.

Sounds like you had a fun time at WCC :). We haven't been for a few years, but it's on our list for our next trip as the food has always been good anytime we've gone and we love the antics :goodvibes.

Chorizo Stew was a new app. tonight. There were lots of chorizo chunks:

Behold the beauty that is the Blueberry Cobbler:

I had the wild caught prawn in a miso broth with mussels and jasmine rice at Territory Lounge tonight. The observant server pointed out that the item had changed from just a couple of days ago when I took the picture of the menu I posted. I had never had the previous item so I tried it. I can't compare it to the previous item, (I posted the menu a couple of days ago), but I would not get this dish again. It was very salty and the jasmine rice was drowned in the broth so everything tasted the same since it was all in a brine of sorts. The prawns were tasty, though there were a few prawn parts/shells with no meat in them (decorative?) and some mussels hadn't opened fully. Also, the very long pieces of Japanese broccoli, though very tasty, were difficult to manage and of course, tasted like the briny broth. Again, I would stick with the filet or the apps. DH had the filet again and loved it. I've now had all the AP meals that are served at TL except the scallops (might have to try them our last night tomorrow) and the filet is our favorite and the salmon is also tasty. Territory Lounge does accept TiW, but does not accept the DDP.

Well, you certainly are adventurous!!! :faint:

Now, did you run down to RF to grab some vanilla ice cream to top that cobbler?!?!?:thumbsup2:goodvibes

Enjoy your last day and last sleep at the Lodge

If you are on the 2nd floor, the hallway where you'd turn right to go to the back elevator, turn left and it goes outside. From there just follow the path down through the waterfall and you are right at Roaring Forks.

We used this exit all the time when we were in room 3104. We just went down a floor and then out the door. :)

Yummy! Blueberry Cobbler is my favorite!!

Love that the lounge is having some new items. :)

Cobbler looks absolutely delicious...even at 8:30am  We didn't get to try the blueberry. They only had apple and berry (strawberry/peach) when we were there.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL last day kook!!!! pixiedust: Almost time to start planning your Christmas trip ;)

The cobblers look great! While fantastic, they were serving the apple cranberry every night but one the first wk of December last yr due to seasonality- I hope to try some of these flavors in Oct!

Hey KOOK! Thanks for everything! Love the pictures!!! Just wondering if you have noticed any changes to the CL menus from the ones that have been posted on this board. Thanks!!

Yes! Thanks for the photos! We're staying CL at the Wilderness Lodge later this month and really looking forward to it. DH had asked about an hour earlier "What's in the lounge tonight?" as I've been raving about the offerings you've shown. I made a face and said "Dunno... no pics yet!" :hyper2:

And then you show up with THOSE photos! You should have seen me skipping across my living room to show DH! Thanks for stoking our anticipation. :mickeyjum Hope you have a great day in the World!

KOOK ~ That cobbler and chorizo stem look delicious! I can not wait to try cobble while at WL.....although it will have to be at AP or TL, because Club Level is all sold out for our travel dates. :sad1:

Hope you are having an amazing trip and looking forward to hearing all about it when you get home! :thumbsup2
