We just got back from 10 days at the beach club. We also had a late flight. We had a great experience staying at the Hyatt MCO. Went right up to bed arrived st beach club by nine the next morning

We arrive on the 20th for our first stay at WL. I really think that this will be my favorite resort. We have a Woods View Bunk Beds room and I was wondering what all of you who stay there often put as a room request and why. I was thinking of adding that I would like to be close to the lobby, would this be a good idea? Thanks for all your help!!! I can't believe we will be there in just 12 short days :cool1:

Thanks! I am spending the last few hours at "work" playing on the DIS boards. :rolleyes1 In just over 24 hours we will be there, and will post once we have our room. We don't arrive at MCO until 6:30 PM though, but we should still make it to WL for dinner.
Are you there yet?!

Leaving next Thursday.. Boy do I need it!!! One MUST DO at the lodge/villas?
other than eating of course! I am in a one bedroom villa !!!!:cool1:
Check out the Carolewood Pacific room in the VWL lobby and take the WL tour and go over to FW and sit on the WL beach and watch the EWP at 9:35 and sit in the WL lobby and people watch AND....have a great vacation!

We check into WL on September 18th too! :yay: I hope the crowd level stays the same.
Time to get to packing:goodvibes

trying to convince DH to stay at WLfor one night before our CR stay next August. He wanted Poly, but was overruled by the kids. My DDs all wanted to stay at WL bc they love the pool. I was thinking CL for the night, if a room only discount comes out.

Is this crazy to just stay for one night?
CL for just one night? IMHO, unless it's a late arrival night and you're just looking to stay somewhere less expensive just to sleep before an early CR check-in, then I'm not really in favor of the packing and unpacking and moving involved in just one night. When we drive down, we stop overnight and I pack a separate overnight bag. If you did this, it would make it easier. But, if you're flying, then you can't leave the rest of your things in the car. You'll have to take everything for just one night then do it all over again the next day.

Very exciting!!! The big countdown is on..10 sleeps (we're staying at POP on Sept 17 for 1 night before WL). Hope you have a fantastic trip!!!

Thank you...we know it wasn't the top of the hour when you took this;). Which reminds me, the geyser kept erupting at two minutes after the hour when we were there:scratchin

I'm under 100 days!!! Doing the Double Digit Dance!!! Woo Hoo!!!
:banana::banana::cool1::cool1::dancer::dancer:
Yippee for your other vacation making your next vacation sneak right up on you - clever:thumbsup2

Our flight is landing at 11:20 pm, then we have to get our bags, pickup our rental car and drive to the resort so somehow I couldn't justify the cost of another night at WL. Plus I want to drive up to WL for the first time in the daylight:goodvibes We aren't on a dining plan although we have booked a couple table service dinners
I like the idea of checking in in the daylight:)

I've read others saying that the Hyatt worked out very well for them and some use points for free stays. We always drive, but I'm curious, if you do that, can you still arrange for ME the next day after your flight arrives?

Congratulations on your first stay at WL:goodvibes

Why do you want to be close to the lobby? Do you want a door that opens onto the lobby below? Do you want to be close to an elevator? Sometimes guests request a Wishes view from the Woods View rooms. Some of the North Wing, upper WV rooms have a partial view of Wishes;)

We just landed, and are on the ME bus! You gotta love the lack of crowds!

Love the photo:thumbsup2 and we're glad you arrived safely. You'll probably be stepping into WL by 8:30! I think this kind of crowd level at MCO is a sign of things to come. Helloooo IASW 20 times in a row:rotfl:

I loved trails end before...that potato bar just kicked it up a notch :). Can't wait until November...that's the Tuesday nite dinner !

We are here! We had to spend some time on ME, but when we arrived there was nobody at checkin and we got connecting rooms on the sixth floor above the checkin desk overlooking the lobby. We are in love!

We did. Walked right on the bus the way there. They way back we had to coordinate the time the day before but we got the time we wanted 9 pm

The two iPads fit in the safe (in response to an earlier question from LuvGoldens). The big OtterBox case barely fits through the door, but it does and there would be room for two of them in there.

Horrible day yesterday here in NY-rain, wind, tornado warnings but still made $150 for some extra spending Disney $$. Today should be better:thumbsup2

You just that that certain "feeling". So glad you made it. Enjoy!!!

To all those Lodgers who are there today and will be going this week. Well it looks like we will be getting some pretty heavy rains today and maybe into tomorrow morning.

But, not to worry!! This is our (Central Florida's) first cold front of the year! The rest of the week looks like it will be amazing!! They are even saying we will be getting lower humidity! pixiedust:

So, all who are there and will be there - enjoy!!!! :beach:

That's good to know for others who may be arriving late and staying the night at the MCO Hyatt.

Thanks for the photo. Are you able to close and lock the door? The locking mechanism protrudes into the safe and takes up some room, (and could also scratch what's in there, so make sure you have your devices covered.) I really LOVE those huge floor safes at the CR/BLT, Poly and GF - wish WL had those, too since they fit laptops, etc...

Where are you off to today?

Those storms blew through NoVA, too - right after I mowed and cleaned up the yard/driveway:upsidedow. Not only are you a little richer, but you got rid of stuff you weren't using:thumbsup2

Our temps really dropped here, too last night after the storm. It's only 64 here now and it's been highs in the upper 80's to 90's for months.

We LOVED going to the MK the day that Isaac passed by. We had our rain gear and umbrellas and there was hardly anyone in the park - everything was a walk-on until the afternoon. It was very humid, but no sunscreen to worry about and it was amazing walking into the park in front of Tony's and City Hall and we were the only ones for a few minutes. If you have coats, hats and waterproof shoes, go to the parks! (As long as there isn't lightening;)) They even take Photopass photos, which was lots of fun.

Finally caught up! Back to school busyness has kept me from spending time here. :(
Thank you to everyone for sharing your photos and WL experiences. It is so nice to be able to come here and just soak up the WL vibes-all the excitement, and the understanding that all it takes is driving up to the entrance or walking through those doors into the lobby to feel that you are in your happy place. Thanks!!

This spoiled California girl would love some lower humidity!! We leave next Saturday; I hope it holds!! 6 days!!

When we went on our first trip last October, they had some freak "weather system" and got 7" in one day! Of course it was our first full day. We couldn't find a photo pass person in sight. But we we ran from ride to ride anyway. The ponchos didn't come off all day!

I can handle a little rain. I just hope it's not like that!!
