Ohhhh thank you!!! Didn't know they had all this!!! You just sealed the deal for me! They have eaten at WCC and LOVE it!! :) I didn't know I could go to the camp ground and do all that if I wasn't staying there!! We may do 2 resort days! So this sounds perfect!!!! :) I'm booking it! :)
Glad I could help and don't hesitate to ask more questions - everyone is friendly and helpful here. If you'd like, I'd be happy to post your dates to the Lodgers' Log when you know them.

I decided to book woods view. I requested a high floor in the north wing. We actually spend most evenings having wine on our balcony. It is important to me to be happy with the location.
I was just not happy at the bwi cl. It was fine the first night then it seemed just ok. The food was basically the same and after the second night we were bored with it.
The nights we were at BWI, a bean dish was served every night:rolleyes:. I'll be posting the new WL/CL menus to my TR today and eventually to the first page, maybe you'll like what you see;)

[Thank you so much! Is there a section or view I should request? Is it loud with the internal rooms over the lobby and WCC? Can you see wishes from the resort ? Do they do any special things for the holidays? (we will be there early dec). And I'll let you know exact dates as soon as its set but looking at 4-10th. Ohhh and besides WCC how are the restaurants?

eacosper arrives at WL today - we hope you have fun in the wilderness!

I think WL is the perfect resort for your boys - so much to see and do!

Besides two pools, one with a slide and one that's jetted over at VWL, there is a playground right on the beach. They can rent bikes, watch free movies on the beach, do free activities in the afternoon at the Cub's Den, play at the arcade, go on a Hidden Mickey hunt...

Have you eaten at WCC? I think your boys would love the "pony races" and Lincoln Logs. Every afternoon there's a pool party, too.

The marina has boat rentals and Sea Raycers that are so much fun to rent. And, over at Fort Wilderness, there are pony rides, canoeing, archery (lots of fun) horse stables. You can walk, boat or bus right over there and Hoop-Dee-Doo and Trail's End are right next door to each other. Have they done Mickey's Backyard BBQ or the campfire marshmallow roast? Oh, and tell them about all the wildlife in the woods near the villas and FW and about the Electric Water Pageant.

At WL you'll have more transportation options, more recreation, you'll be closer to the MK, have two restaurants and you'll be next door to FW. Let us know what you and the boys decide.

yes--what Kook said all the way!:santa:

And we're booked too--
Dec 2-4 WL bunk bed room. Me, DH, and our two DD's age 8.

Didn't spring for a courtyard view this time. However, I totally recommend the courtyard view. This is different kind of trip for us--party only. :santa: We'll arrive Sat morning, check in and just play at the resort all day Sat & Sunday (going to the sing-a-long for the first time). Hoping it'll be swimming weather! Booked a late breakfast at Kona on party day to get us ready.

So excited! Third year in a row at WL at Christmas, fourth year of a holiday trip and I think it's safe to say it's a family tradition now :cool1:

Hello:yay:

We check in for our first visit to the WL next Friday. So super excited to see what's in store for us while we are there for 8 days.

I wanted to know if I should do online check in or call them myself. Does it matter or hurt ether way?

Thank you!!!

Don't have an answer to your question, just wanted to say very exciting that your trip is so close! We're not far behind you. Have a great time!!

I don't have your answer either, but I was just excited to say that we check in the day after you! :goodvibes

We went ahead and did the online checkin for our trip on the first day we could. We already had made our room requests (just two rooms near each other) with the reservations. On our last trip we did online checkin too, and arrived very late but still got a great room. We will see how it worked this time on Saturday.

I'll put it in the Log! December weather changes as often as my teen changes her clothes. Swimming is never really a problem, it's getting out of the pool wet that can be miserable! Stay close to the hot tub;)

If you have any room location requests, etc... they need to be in your reservation at least 5 days prior to arrival. At about the 4 day mark, Disney drops all the reservations into the resort system and the room assignor then assigns your room based on availability and your requests. OCI doesn't really accommodate room requests well as there isn't a place to put your requests. Some resorts have a pre-selected room location request on the OCI form, but they are very limited.

If you're arriving with a large group, like ME or at a peak check-in time from 3-7, then there might be an advantage to OCI, otherwise, there's really no need. OCI lets you put your credit card info. in ahead of arrival and that's about it. When we checked into BLT last month, the OCI line was actually longer than the non OCI line. It''s really unpredictable, but it won't 'hurt' to do it, as long as all your requests are already in your reservation. Just call the WDTC to add them now.

Dear Kook,

After reading your wonderful trip report, we'd like to be added to the 'Log' :cool1:

WL CL: July 19 - 26, 2013 - to celebrate OUR 25th Anniversary

Thank you!

I was just told about point rentals for WLV... Any info on those? And how it works with points. Sorry. Never did that before

We are here!! We got a wonderful view of the pool! There is no. one. here. Peter Pan was walk on all morning!! The park is sooo empty! I'm not complaining! The CMs keep apologizing for the "crowd levels" LOL!!

Yay! We are so excited to get to see it at a lower crowd level than our other visit, which was in mid June! We can't wait!

We have several DVC/rental experts here who I know will answer your question when they see your post (hint-hint;)).

Thanks for checking in with us. I am so jealous that you can go when ALL the schools are back in session and not a holiday in sight. Enjoy trying to decide which nonexistent line to get in and which seat to sit in in the lobby and by the pool:thumbsup2

You and eacosper might miss the crowds so much that you guys will have to fight over some lawn chairs or shove each other in line at Roaring Fork. If eacosper looks sad that there aren't any crowds at the laundry, just throw some pool towels in all the washers before they get there.

Just booked 3 night after our January cruise on the Dream. Will be there 24-27. We usually stay at the Beach Club and just returned Tuesday from 10 days there. We also bought DVC this trip (AKL). Since our Jan trip was so soon after this last big trip and we are only doing 2 day park passes we decided to stay in the MK area. Tried for BLT (wait listed) but confirmed for VWL. I have never stayed here before. Looking forward to learning all about it! popcorn::
