LOVE these photos. :) Thank you for your kind words, Kook. She was a little premature, but the main problem was a heart defect she was born with. With the pacemaker, you really wouldn't know there is a thing wrong with her (other than she looks a good bit younger than she is). I feel bad for the TSA folks, to be honest. They just don't know what to do, and that's the fault of the people who train them.

The last time I stayed at AKL, there was a couple there who'd taken the train with their kids. They boarded at night and when they woke up, they were in Orlando. There's not as much sight seeing that way, but it sounds a lot more peaceful than flying. Some day I'll do it, I swear!

I love seeing the resort specific goodies, especially the shirts - that's the one thing I always like to pick up when I stay at WDW.

Blueberry cobbler time!!!

I know you do:hug:. I realized that today means only one week left here for us, and I still have so much I want to do!

Yippee for Mickey Mail:goodvibes. Thank you for your kind comment. When I have the time, it pleases me to be able to share a little of WL with all of you who miss it. DH thinks I'm making you all miss it more, but I assured him that seeing photos and talking about it is a good thing::yes::

That sounds great and the walk to Epcot and DHS is so nice and convenient:thumbsup2

They no longer have the owl t-shirt and in April they only had size small left, but they did get some new styles in.

The Amtrak Auto Train might be what the AKL couple took. It goes from Lorton, VA (NoVA) to Sanford, FL. It leaves in the evening and arrives in the morning, barring track delays. You have the option of a sleeper car or regular seat.

Whatever mode of transportation you take, I hope you and your family get treated with more respect and common sense next time.

OMG - Kook! Your last pic of the "visitor" just reminded me of an incident from our trip a couple weeks ago.

We were at MK watching MSEP and a little "visitor" like yours hopped on to my DD's leg then my leg. Cold and slimy! My DD freaked out....your froggy friend brought that right back. LOL!
:rotfl:

PS - I just booked Christmas 2013 at WL (12/24-29) OFC. Cannot wait to stay there again! It is wonderful.

Enjoy your vacation!

Love the latest set of pictures, Kook! I'm so darned excited for our trip. It'll be my first time setting eyes on the WL, but thanks to all of you, it already feels a bit like home.

I am trying to convince my mom to come on our upcoming trip. She and I took a mom/daughter trip back in 1987 that we still have very special memories of. She hasn't been back since 1993, so a lot has changed. She asked where we were staying and she knew all about the WL. Hope that's the clincher that makes her come!

We're off to try Trail's End for breakfast today. I'll file a report later...

That's so funny, your poor DD must have been very surprised. Mine wanted to let it in for the night. I'm out on the balcony now and I don't see him, but maybe he's nocturnal.

Your booking is fantastic!!!! I assume you booked at rack rate?

Oh, Kook!! Thank you, really, for the unexpected tear that just came to my eye! Beautiful!!! Have a blessed day!:cloud9:

Just trying to check on Ms.Kook....

My kids are definitely on board for a WL stay after seeing the latest pics!!!!!

That frog is adorable...I spoke with a guest who also was surprised by a frog..he was like we are an the 6th floor... crazy...lol

And the no bear feet sign....perfect!!! The need one at Roaring Forks too....IMHO

KOOK- Love the early morning pictures!! Were you on your way to your morning exercise or just anxious to start your day? :) I forgot to ask you, where did you stay in GA?

AutoTrain- we tried that once and there was good and bad about it for me. I am a light sleeper and every time someone walked through the car it woke me up. The bathroom also got kind of grungy overnight and I was happy I had packed Lysol wipes. My DD had lots of fun. (she was around 7 at the time) A family in our car with 2 kids kind of adopted her-the mom was extremely well-prepared, with lots of snacks and activities. If we ever did it again we would have to do a sleeper-but they are very expensive.

Adding frogs to the wildlife list at WL! My DD would have wanted to invite it in also, and give it a name.

I love the early morning pictures too!! The lobby looks so peaceful. :goodvibes

KOOK, :wave2: I presume the early morning lobby pictures (which are wonderful by the way) mean you were up and out, on your way for a WDW run?! I hope it isn't that you were just getting back from EMH

Have fun, the KOOKster's must be in heaven :cloud9: being at the WL!

We took the train from Boston to Orlando several times in the late 80's and early 90's. Have taken it home from Disney once since we've lived in NC - in all honesty it was not as nice as years ago...bathrooms much worse, though we always bring Lysol wipes and spray on the train. ;)

The thing with the sleepers is that there has been a lot of bedbug problems - even the director of Amtrak Customer Service addressed the issue in a letter. We all know bedbugs are a huge problem right now and we should be checking every hotel room (plenty of Disney official reports as well) and keeping luggage off the floor and beds, but Amtrak does a heat sterilization of every car (think it was every few months, have forgotten exactly how often), guess it hasn't helped. Bedbugs can be picked up just about anywhere these days, but something about picking the critters up in a sleeper car - it is such a small space, I cannot figure out how to avoid it happening. Creepy for sure!

KOOK, love the photos - hoping we get to stay here in January. :thumbsup2

We loved Trail's End for breakfast, but have not been in many years, so like anything, could have changed. We still enjoy dinner there. ::yes:: Hope your breakfast was delicious and enjoyable - I love the water shuttle, so that alone is worth the trip to FW!

Have a delightful day! :goodvibes

Kook-
Yup...painful rack rate. But it's Christmas so unless a miracle happens, I'll just save and save.

KOOK -- I hope you're having a perfectly magical vacation. :goodvibes Please keep posting photos for those of us who still have many long months before we're there. :sad1:
