Thanks everyone for all the help. Another likely silly question, I have to call to make these requests now? Or is there a form I can fill out?

Thanks
Yeah, calling the reservations number and adding them to your reservation is the way to go, there isn't a request form or anything. You do have some options on the online check in form, but those generally are different and most recommend calling with your specific requests.

There's no reason to wait, but you should be good as long as your requests are in with your reservation the 4-5 days before your arrival when the room assignor assigns your room.

What room numbers should I request for a woods view room, highest floor, closest to the boat dock?

It's not recommended to ask for room numbers. It's best to word your request just as you have it here. This way the room assigner knows exactly what you want.

We are coming to WDW for our 2nd trip Sept 20-27. We were supposed to be staying at POFQ but with the discounts released, we ended up upgrading to WL (it's where we really wanted to stay anyways). Our 1st trip last year, after checking into the Cabins at FW we went to WL for lunch at Whispering Canyon. As soon as we walked in, we all said we'd love to stay there sometime. We can't wait!

Congratulations! Walking into that lobby is amazing every time, but even more so when you know that you get to stay there!

i am back!! Had a great trip. I was ecstatic that I was upgraded from Standard to main courtyard..I had requested 2nd floor because I like to be on Lobby Level and avoid elevators. I got room 2135 which was behind the waterfall/overlook area. It was great!!

They are working on the waterfall and stream so it wasn't running. I have pictures I will upload later.

Dinner at AP was my first time there and it was very nice.

It was strange to be on a solo trip, especially after being at AKL the weekend before, but I chatted with lots of people at the pools and common areas, so it was nice.

Oh wow, I actually did know there were rooms on the lobby level! How did you get to your room? I'm having trouble visualizing.
I'm dying to have the same exact room we had last year 4102-- was right near the elevators and perfect!! Anyone know of others rooms similar to it (super close to the elevator near the bus stop) that are either standard or woods view??

We were in room 3104 and we really liked this location, too. We found a staircase right across the hall from our room, so we frequently used that instead of the elevators. And it was really close to the bus stop and lobby, right by the Mercantile. The room had an enclosed balcony which added a bit of privacy but the walls weren't as high as they are for the dormer balconies.

If you walk like you you are going to the buses..across from the Mercantile windows is a hallway.. you walk down that. We had room 2113 twice and it is located right behind where the water comes out of the lobby

What I like about this area is, close to buses, close to Roaring Forks (there is a door in the hallway that leads to the footbridge and down the stairs to the RF hallway) and close to the boat (by the same foot bridge)
Here is a shot..it is in the corner..first room after the mid hall elevators

We just came back last week and we were in 5135 so a few floors up but I agree, loved the location. Could even see the fireworks from Wishes :)

Like DisneyDmbNut said the hallway connects on the Lobby level right across from the mercantile. It jogs a little bit so you don't look straight down the hallway from the main walkway, so it is easy to walk right by and not even know it is there.

Looking at the room map here, these rooms are on the second floor, but the only rooms that exist on this floor are 2107 and 2109-2169 (basically all of the South Wing, minus a few rooms where Cub's Den is). It is worth noting that there are also 2nd floor rooms in the North wing (rooms 2000-2034) but they are only accessible via stairs and the North Wing elevator.

On the first floor, the pool level has rooms 1130-1169 in the South Wing and 1000-1034 in the North Wing.

The fourth floor is the first floor where the wings connect, and on floors 4-7 you can go all the way from one wing to the other without going down to the pool or lobby level.

...from our first stay at the Lodge and I must say we are in love:lovestruc had such a fabulous time--awesome weather, good times, great food, and some of the nicest CMs at the Lodge that we have ever met. I will do a full trip report soon. Hope to start planning our next stay soon......!

Y'all . . . seriously. . . We are approaching our 60 day mark for 1 day in the MK and all this planning is stressing me out! All for the love of no ADRs and 3 FP+ reservations in the MK. Really?! Meanwhile, I got our DME luggage tags already! Today! Huge surprise. I keep coming back to this thread and envisioning our happy place, with all that lovely music and those waterfalls. I swear I'm more interested in the WL than I am in visiting a park. Do you think my kids would forgive me if we skip the parks completely?

Somebody pass me a drink from the Territory Lounge. Please?

(Shh, so far the kids don't even know we're going).

Not sure if everyone knows this, but I know some have allergies. At Artist Point.

Desserts

Artist Point Cobbler - with Seasonal Berries and House-made Black Raspberry ice Cream. NOTE: Gluten, sugar and nut-free available. $11.00

So are the 2nd level rooms only courtyard?
There would be a few woods view rooms on the second floor , too. They would be in the north wing mostly. There are a few next to the Cub 's Den in the south wing. But most of the 2nd floor rooms would be CV. :)

Some might be classified as woods view OPPOSITE of where I was..they look over the walkway between WL and VWL 2134,2136 etc
