For the Summer discount. I priced it out and almost booked. AKL is 25% for CL. As long as you book 6 or more nights it is 35% off WL :goodvibes

Came very close to a WL CL switch for August...35% off is a great rate, so anyone contemplating should definitely call today!!!It's selling out fast I'm told! Good luck lodgers!!!:flower3:

Don't forget, if you book through Orbitz you can get Disney's discount and an extra 20% off (DISCOVERY). And, you earn orbucks to apply to your next trip.

Speaking of great deals - I just saved almost $1300 on my trip in August!

WDWKOOK - could you put me in the loggers log for Aug 15-19 CL. I finally got DH to come! (he never made it last year:sad:)

If you book through Orbitz, use the promo code DISCOVER (takes 20% off) and use Ebates(another 6.5%), I just priced out Aug 21-28 for WL CL for 268/nt, tax included.

ETA: Just saw the above post that mentioned it! I'm so wondering if we should squeeze in a trip in August... We're not getting APs until Nov though.

Only GF provides turn-down automatically to all rooms. At the other Deluxes, when not staying CL, all you have to do is either request at check-in and/or contact housekeeping and let them know. :)
Thank you for that information! My kids will be very excited.

How do you do Ebates too??

My family consists of myself, husband, 14 yr old son and 19 yr old daughter. We have booked a Woodsview Room for May 22 - 29th at the WL!! We have camped many times at Fort Wilderness but this is our first vacation staying at WL.

Since we have reserved two queen beds, my two kids are discussing who will sleep on the floor since they refuse to sleep together. I have offered to get an air mattress or a roll away bed for one of them to use.

My question is:
1. Does the WL have roll away beds?
2. If not, do the WL Woodsview rooms have enough space for a twin size air mattress? Is it okay to have one in the room?
3. What are my odds of getting a free upgrade to a bunk bed room at the time of our vacation?
Thank you in advance for your wonderful knowledge!!!

When we did The great Family Vacation, we took two twin air mattresses for our boys, who are large football players. When it was time to go to sleep, the two twin mattresses fit on the floor at the foot of the beds fine. In the morning, we simply tipped them on end and put them between the wall and the one queen beds. They we out of the way but ready for the next night. It worked out really well for us. If you luck out into bunk beds, even better.

You're going to be in love with WL.

How late is the QS open for drink refills, etc.? Is it by chance 24 hours like the Poly and GF?

Yet another Snow Day here for schools and federal gov't:). I don't know if I can wait till June to get back to FL:beach:

Hope to see you on the new CR/BLT thread:)

Thanks but I never even got a chance to check that wonderful thread out before he switched us again to BWV. I told him no more. We were done. I hate flip flopping. Anyway Thank you again.

Here now. Very nice resort. We did not get our lobby room/woods view request but our room is fine. 4th floor bunk bed woods view. Very relaxing and beautiful grounds. Really enjoying it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
Sorry to shout, but if I hadn't checked here just now, I wouldn't have known about this discount until it was probably too late. I just saved $1,729.14 on our August villa stay!!!!! I can't go to bed yet because I am so excited! In all the years I have been going to WDW this has never happened to me before. The dates usually don't work, or the hotel, or the availability.
So, thank you woodnymph for posting this link. I have been behind in my Disney reading online and I would have totally missed this if I hadn't checked my absolute favorite thread on the internet. :)

FYI - ebates is offering 6.5% back for activities reservations only. Retail hotels are only 1%. The 20% discount though makes Orbitz a great choice plus you get orbucks to use on your next booking. But no matter what, 1% is better than nothing!

What is Ebates and how does it work?? Thinking of booking hotel and tickets through them for our July trip...

I'm currently in the process of planning a birthday trip for my friend and I. With the new summer discount, I was able to book a CL room at WL. :woohoo: I am very excited. We usually stay at POR.

I have a question about the coffee in the Old Faithful Club. Have they changed from Nescafe to Joffrey's? I was pretty happy with the Joffrey's coffee that was served in the POR food court. It was a big step up from Nescafe.

2 weeks and 2 days until we finally return to WL. It has been too long since we last made it to WDW. I have finally retired after a 33 year career at the same company, so what better way to celebrate than getting to hear "Welcome Home" again.

Booked a woods view room, as we always do. Had pixie dust the last couple times there and ended up with a courtyard view room. A couple of questions......

1. With the online check in, what are the chances of getting the room bumped up from Woods view? We have mixed feelings. Love the view from a Courtyard room, but the quiet awesomeness of a Woods room is so relaxing.
OCI won't impact whether you're upgraded or not. Be sure to ask at check-in what view you've been assigned so you'll be happy.

2. When its just mama and I, we like being on the side overlooking the quiet pool, which we put in our request. With the construction at VWL, do you think that's an issue this time or is the construction issue limited to those actually staying at VWL?
The VWL room rehab is due to be completed by the end of this month, so your vacation wouldn't be impacted and as a PP noted, the rehab is all indoors at VWL.

There are both Woods and Courtyard View rooms that face VWL. There are also Courtyard View rooms that face the WL courtyard which is less peaceful. You might want to add a request for a South Wing room to your reservation. This way, you are more likely to face VWL even if upgraded.

3. We are coming in late on April 2nd, and staying at All Star Sports for the night. Just a place to lay our heads. We move to WL the next morning. We'll have our luggage moved to WL by the bellman, but with the magic bands, do we even need to show up at WL until the afternoon? can we go straight to the Magic Kingdom without issue? Last time, we had to go to WL to get our Keys to the Kingdom and then on to MK.
You need to physically check-in at WL since you will be starting a new reservation. Keep in mind that you may not receive your luggage until mid-late afternoon. I've never done a luggage transfer, but I believe I've read that it can take at least 3 hours or more.

4. are the milk shakes at Whispering Canyon still as good as we remember?
I love them, but they are really thick. I always ask for them without whipped cream so I can be sure to have room for a refill;)

Thanks to all on this site for making vacation planning and general WDW and WL discussion a great experience.
Congratulations on your retirement! Make sure it's noted in your reservation. Your questions are answered above in RED.

We will be eating at BOG this Saturday. I'm am excited to show my sister and friend around the castle. It will be their first time there and our fourth time. :) I love the braised pork. :)

And we can't miss eating dinner at Trail's End this Thursday night. My DH is looking forward to having the ribs, baked beans and bread pudding while I can't wait to have some of that delicious fried chicken.
You're going to be there so soon! I hope you and DH have a magical vacationpixiedust:

Yippee! DH is going to love CL. He won't miss another vacation after this one;)

Could you please add me to the Lodger's log? 9/30 - 10/9 2 br VWL :cool1:
I'll make it official:)

Thank you for that information! My kids will be very excited.

WL does not have rollaways, but as the PP said, you can fit an air mattress from home in there. Upgrades really can't be predicted so you should always book the room you really want, if at all possible.

I've already added you to the BoardWalk Bulletin:thumbsup2

Thinking 7/11-7/16 at WL CL!!! SO excited!!

I hope you're still having a great time at WDW and WL.

Welcome to the thread, Indy. CL at WL is wonderful!! As of December, they still had the Nescafe machine, but they were using Joffrey's coffee, I believe. They no longer have a contract with Nescafe.

Hi Kook!! :-) I am having so many problems deciding between GF GV and WL CL...and DH left it up to me! :-/

Does anybody know how many CL bunk bed rooms there are? If we go with WL, I'd want to request a bunk bed room for the kids. :-)
