This may sound silly I just want everyone to be happy. No family jealousy. Just because they are both adults, they are still brother and sister and you know how that can go. Since he does have an enclosed balcony, should I request N/S Woods view for a possible view of the fireworks? Also since I did change my son to CL not too long ago and he hasn't been sent any special emails, should I still be requesting through IPO email or call?

You are so very helpful, thank you.

I'm happy to help, but I really don't know much about club level, except where it is located. :) Some other knowledgeable person will come along and answer that one. :)

Hi, We have a Woods view room with the bunk bed for our Sept 2014 stay (this was an upgade from our original reservation).

I'm trying to understand specifically where this type of room is located? Would anyone know specific floor/room #'s.

I ask because I want to understand if we'll be near the lobby or out by the boat dock. Haven't made any requests yet but the answer I get here may lead to that.

Thanks in advance to all who help.

Doug :goofy:

...

Here is my pathetic attempt to indicate the location of the regular club level rooms using Paint. I am not into graphics at all.:sad2:

....

Does this help?

Was 6127 a Deluxe room back then or did they call it a Jr. Suite? All the "127s" sit underneath the Yellowstone Presidential Suite (7127) and are (now) Deluxe rooms.

WDWKOOK,

After some further research/digging, It looks like the first room we stayed in (1995) was 5129 and not 6127. It was a standard room with an amazing view. We arived around 9:30 that evening and the first thing we saw outside our room/balcony was the Electrical Water Pageant (they had different music back then) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AM5tTmE_zY It was quite a first impression !!

The bunk bed rooms can be spread throughout the Woods view locations. Disney doesn't make specific room numbers easy to locate by type, but it would be good for you to think about the location you would prefer, since Woods View bunk rooms are available in either wing or open to the lobby, and on multiple floors too, so they are pretty evenly spread around.

So some of the standard views do have nice views? We aren't too concerned with views, but if there are better rooms to request, I'd love to know!

We booked a standard room at the time. It might have even been an upgrade ... but back then I don't think they had all the different categories that they do now. Now I believe it's considered a "Courtyard View"

Does anyone know if room service would deliver chocolate covered strawberries? I haven't been able to find the room service menu online. Thanks!!

That sounds like a wonderful idea! Would also love to know the answer to this.

I have a room service menu from February 2014 and it shows "Hand-Dipped Chocolate Strawberries", $18.00. But it doesn't say how many you get. It also says a $3.00 delivery charge, applicable sales tax and 18% service charge will be added to all orders. All was under "Amenities".

They also had Cookies and Milk for Two ($26.00), Snack Pail Surprise ($15.00), Logo Chocolate Box with truffles ($45.00) and the Healthy Surprise (fruit, trail mix, evian water for $35.00).

Hope this helps.

Hello fellow Lodgers,

I just spoke with a friend and they said that the springs and waterfall are still down. They weren't sure when it would be up again, but will find out by Sunday for me.

Makes for a very quiet lobby :sad1:

Sorry. If I get any more info, I will let you know.

:scratchin That is disappointing. Wonder what's going on???? Hopefully it will be working by the 7th;) Thanks for the update!

You are totally speaking my language with this itinerary! I LOVE it! I am working on something similar and will have to upload a preview when I have it complete. :) (If I can EVER figure out how to upload a photo! LOL)

Glad you can appreciate the madness ;) Flying by the seat of my pants is totally out of my comfort zone, so the schedule definitely helps. We even put the kids' clothes in big ziplock bags with labels on each....Day 1, Day 2, ect... again :rolleyes1....a little OCD, but cuts down on confusion each morning. All I have to say is "Grab Day 1 bag and get dressed!" Works perfectly ::yes:: Would love to catch of a glimpse of your itinerary!!! Upload to Photobucket then copy the picture link and paste to your post :teeth:

:scratchin Well....there was no way I was going to bore you (and others) with 5 pages of details :rolleyes1 So I'll just give you an excerpt of my itinerary... Only over obsessive planning types like myself can appreciate such craftiness.... DH just left for work and his exact words were..."Are you REALLY going to subject innocent people to that??" Of course I am ::yes::

Ok,...... I am thoroughly impressed and must inquire if you have the template for it, I would love to do this before we leave in August... Mine looks all crazy on a calendar format... So if you post the link on here or tell us were you found this format, That would be fabulous :flower3:

I'm not the only one up with the chickens, I see... Hoping that water will be back by June 7th. All these pictures are making me a little anxious :hyper: I might have to ride my bike over to the Lodge next week and check things out!

:dance3:ONLY 4 DAYS UNTIL WE ARRIVE!!! :dance3:(just had to throw that out there)
I can't wait for you to get there, but I don't think the stream will be filled. Are you bringing your bike? Having a bike at FW and WL is so much fun, but we can't ever fit any with our ten bags:rolleyes1. But, you can rent them and if you have APs, you'll get 30% off all recreation. BTW, you know I love itineraries so I went over yours and noticed something about your CL breakfast time, (but I could only see it when I looked at it on my iPad and could zoom in like a crazy person). Breakfast is served till 10:30 - can we be OCD together?

The Duck family are early risers as well! ;)

Always love it when the ducklings make an appearance:donald:

Gotta love Disney reminder e-mails...AS IF I didn't know I was 10 days away from my 1st WL stay! :rotfl2:

Love it:thumbsup2

Look for the family with the crazy kids running around and the parents yelling "Where's Jesse??"....That will be us! :thumbsup2 Our youngest child has been dubbed The Wanderer. He's been known to venture off on his own from time to time....
Jesse is NEVER lost - he's always in front of a TV! Look for Jesse at WL here…

Thanks for the breaking news! They need to play the soundtrack...

For the past six months (since we returned from our last fall visit) we have been "discussing" our fall 2014 trip. (I'm the planner, so it was more presenting the alternatives...) :headache: WL or AKL? Maybe we should try BC this year? Mid September, October, November? Work issues may force early October. Work issues changed (and staff), we may need to go in September now. But November is our favorite. Finally a decision was made!

We will be staying at the WL, WV room, October 31 to November 5! All those uncertainties in my spreadsheet were driving me nuts!

Now I get to start comparing all the deals and pricing info while waiting for the F&W schedule to be released.

We will actually be staying at the Park That Must Not Be Named for a night before arriving at WL. Can't wait for fall!
You've made a great decision! Happy planning.

That is a very scary soundtrack. Thanks for posting it, I had never seen/heard the original.

HERE is the link to the DINING section of the thread. At the very end is the link to my photos of each page of the Private Dining menu from 2013.

Those strawberries are absolutely delicious;)

Thanks...........I'll have to ask. Just bought our airline tickets and we're arriving early, should be at the resort before noon on Day 1. Hopefully that will allow us to select a room away from the lobby. We'll see :goodvibes

Announcing our first ever WL stay celebrating the end of the school year (YAY!) and pregnancy with our 3rd little one due in Nov! 2nd trimester...perfect time to do disney :woohoo:
6 night stay mid June. We got the ressie on the summer promo, and we were pretty tight with our dates. We have a courtyard view bunk bed room (as its the 7 yo's wish to have a bunk bed).
I'm not concerned with the view per se, but I really do want a balcony as thats the only time I have to sit and drink my coffee early but still be within safe earshot of the kids without waking them.

Do the woods view rooms all have open balconies? I requested high floor close to lobby!

Most of the woods view rooms have open balconies, but not all of them. The 6th floor of the north wing has the dormer (enclosed) balconies. And a few woods view rooms in the south wing have enclosed balconies. But most of them have open balconies. Since we've gotten enclosed balconies two out of three times, I now call and have "open balcony" added to our room requests.

If you want to be away from the lobby, I'd add that as a request so you can hopefully avoid having to switch rooms. The rooms are assigned by the room assignor between a few days and a week before you arrive, so as long as you have requests noted in your reservation before then they will try to meet them.
Since most woods rooms don't open to the lobby is should be a fairly easy request to meet.
