Do the woods view rooms all have open balconies? I requested high floor close to lobby!
Like WoodNymph mentioned you can always request open balcony if that's what you prefer.

For what it's worth, the open balcony rooms are closer to the lobby on the 6th floor in both wings (under the CL rooms), so you can have all three of your requests met.

We've never had dinner at Artist Point and since we are staying at WL we are booked to eat there on our arrival evening. My question is I don't eat fish or anything too wild ... Will I enjoy this meal? From reading some reviews I know I will like the mushroom soup or artisan cheese for an appetizer and thinking of the Cornish hen or Pork Loin for an entree. Has anyone had either the Cornish hen or pork loin?
I guess I could ask on the dining board but I thought I would give the WL regulars opinions first : )

Here's the plan for day 1 .. Get settled in and take a swim and then dinner at Artist a Point followed by watching the electrical water pageant on the beach

Announcing our first ever WL stay celebrating the end of the school year (YAY!) and pregnancy with our 3rd little one due in Nov! 2nd trimester...perfect time to do disney :woohoo: 6 night stay mid June. We got the ressie on the summer promo, and we were pretty tight with our dates. We have a courtyard view bunk bed room (as its the 7 yo's wish to have a bunk bed). I'm not concerned with the view per se, but I really do want a balcony as thats the only time I have to sit and drink my coffee early but still be within safe earshot of the kids without waking them.
Congratulations! You should have a great trip. All of the rooms at WL have balconies so you're good there. The rooms on the top floor of any section of the hotel have enclosed "dormer" balconies that are recessed into the roofline, but are harder to see out from when seated, so some prefer balconies with open railing.
No matter where you end up you should have a great room. Enjoy your stay, it is coming up quick!

No, the rooms on the top floor of any section have enclosed balconies. This means all of the 7th floor CL rooms have enclosed balconies, and the 6th floor rooms in the East section of both the North and South wings have the enclosed balconies as well.

The room numbers that have enclosed balconies on the 6th floor are 6004-6034 in the North Wing and 6130-6165 in the South Wing. The rest of the 6th floor rooms have open balconies.

Thank you so much! Very helpful!

Happy Sunday All! Quick question, I know the walk to fort wilderness is about 20 mins or so, but is the path lighted at night? Thinking about taking in the chip n dale campfire one night.

I'm on about page 80 of this thread.. We will be staying at WL in a courtyard bunk bed room July 21-27.. This is our first visit there, question do the CL rooms have bunk beds also?

No, the path is not lighted at night. You could probably walk there when it is still light out and then grab the boat back to WL. :)

Yes, there are some CL bunk bed rooms, but they are by request only.

Hi there.

I've had most everything on the menu and the Cornish Hen was one entrée I didn't like. They smoke it in house and that gave it a nice flavor. But it wasn't my favorite. They are very small and I really had to work at it to get some meat. I actually brought home most of it. Hope this helps.

:)

My family will be staying at WL for the first time this November. I have booked a CY view room and am wondering what would be the best way to request a room with a good view of the Electrical Water Pageant? Should I request a bear face room or just an inner courtyard?

TIA!

Ummm you know I don't consider myself a picky eater but I saw a limited amount on the menu that appeals to me so I was hoping the Cornish hen might be one of them ... Bummer!

Anyone else?? ( My original post is on previous page )

Please remember that everyone's tastes are different. You may like it.

I also know they are working on some new items right now. The menu changes frequently so there maybe something that will appeal to you.

This question is for the real experts! We will arrive @ 5:30 pm on October 3rd. We are hoping to be checked-in in time to walk over to Fort Wilderness. Does anyone know what time it gets dark that time of year? :sunny:

I have a quick question. As part of our split stay, we're coming in from BWV into VWL. We're planning on having bell services move our luggage. After we check in, can we just go to bell services and pick up our bags, or do we have to wait for them to be delivered to our room?

Any inner courtyard view room should have some view of the EWP. The inner courtyard, open to lobby (Bear Face) rooms have balconies that directly face the lake, but are the furthest from it, so they might not have the best view of it. You might have a better view from a room further down one of the wings, but you would have to look to the side to see it. We had a great view of it from 6025, but had to look to the left out the balcony.

:wave2:KOOK,

Ten bags???? TEN???? As in... ONE. ZERO????

Might as well add a couple more so u have one for each day, unless...
