Were 9 days out until out stay at BCV and BWV. We are at a studio in BCV and 2nd half will be a 1BR at BWV. Never stayed at either but worried that we won't like BWL as much as BCV due to SAB. Anyone who enjoys both or one over the other?

Stayed at both BCV and BWV, and we own DVC at BWV. I like both pools, but I was underwhelmed with SAB. When I looked at the map, I thought all of SAB was a lazy river, not just the one circle area. Both dds enjoyed making sandcastles on that side of the pool, but my oldest, who is on the swim team, didn't like the pool as chopped up as it was. I tried the water slide and I think the Clown Mouth slide is way faster than SAB. Plus, you don't have to walk out onto the sidewalk to enter the pool slide.

Overall, the theming at SAB is great and the currents and hot tubs are fun, but we prefer the pool at BWV.

We've stayed at BC (many times), BWI (x3 with another in January) and YC. We really do love SAB, and I started a photo thread about it a while ago to illustrate the different parts of it. But we really love so many things about BWI and have never regretted a BWI stay one single bit -we absolutely love BWI (especially CL) and will continue to return. A summary of our thoughts regarding the pools:

1) Slides. Our youngest son and I far prefer the BWI slide. It's not enclosed, it's smooth and it seems faster. Our teens give the SAB slide a slight edge, but they enjoy both.

2) Atmosphere. I prefer SAB for the theme and I prefer Hurricane Hanna's over the pool bar at BWI, but the small scale of of Luna at BWI has some advantages. Still wouldn't hesitate to stay at BWI for a moment.

3) Quiet pools. When we're not up for a big main pool, this is where BWI shines. The quiet pool at BWI is my favorite pool at WDW. It's really peaceful (even with our three boys swimming there!) and the hot tub has always been uncrowded and crystal clear. It's in the middle of the gardens and secluded from the boardwalk and all walkways - truly a quiet pool! I'll compromise and go over to the main pool so the boys can slide, but the quiet pool at BWI is really a great spot.

You have to make the requests at least 2 weeks in advance, so I would just do it now. I would call member services and ask if they can link the reservations to try to get them close together. Otherwise, what other requests you give could depend on what view you have booked? Close to the lobby is never a bad one though. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I called MS today and put in my room request info. Hoping to get rm 3123 for the standard 1 BDR and then one of the 2bdr across the hall. We do like that location close to the bus stop exit. The reservations were already linked

On each of the reservations (since you really have two), add the information "traveling with" and then put the other reservation number. They should try to get them close to each other.

You do know that all two bedroom villas at BWV are lockoffs, right? So the odds of a one bedroom close to at "two" bedroom is very good. Now just getting two vacant ones close to each other should also be pretty good.

Call MS and have them add traveling with to each reservation.

Thanks for your info. Contacted MS today and have put in the request. Keeping fingers crossed that we get something close to what we want.

I had asked last week which toiletries BWI had - here now in a CL Deluxe room & we don't have the H20 Grapefruit, its the Sea Salt Spa line - and bigger tubes too!

That's a change! Did you get the third or fourth floor? Happy with the room? Enjoy your stay!

Does anyone know how big the safes in the BWV studios are? I know in the other resorts they are pretty small, but as I have to do some work on vacation, I need to bring my laptop.

We requested 3rd floor above Seashore Sweets & thats what we got! We're aside of the room we had last year, we're in 3257 & its bigger than 3255. We're right by the stairs to the lounge. Love it!

Thanks for the info. We're heading out to BWI Deluxe room in just over 2 weeks. Can't wait to get there. How do you like the Seal Salt Spa line. Is your room updated?

TaraPA...Enjoy your trip! Glad to hear you got your request.:goodvibes

We returned home Sunday from a split stay at the GF and BWI. We stayed 4 nights at GF and 5 nights at BWI. The switch went very smoothly. No problems at all. Bell services came at took our luggage and tagged it to be moved to BWI.

After we check out of the GF we took the monorail over to the MK and hopped on the bus to BWI. The bus was there waiting for us so it wasn't long before we were home again.

Check in went fast. I did online check in and there was no line for that desk. Our room wasn't ready so I asked if he could tell me if I got any of my requests which were upper floor quiet pool view. We were put in a first floor room so I asked if we could be moved and he was able to put us in a second floor room near the fountain and quiet pool. Loved the location!

Got a text shortly after and our room was ready. We had 2349 and it was huge. It was not refurbished yet. It had a walk in closet, 2 chairs and a small table, daybed, and the regular nesting desk with chair. We had a relaxing view of the fountain and I loved to sit out there in the morning with a pastry just listening to the sound.

The only flaw as you can see in this next pic is the bathroom door and vanity placement. If someone was standing at the sink they had to move so you can open the door.

Looking straight

Looking to the right

The only con to this room was the distance from the lobby. It was a long walk to get breakfast in the morning and to fill our mugs. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay.

Sorry about some of the pics being sideways. I fixed them on photobucket but for some reason they went back.:confused3

We meant to go to the quiet pool on this vacation, but we didn't make it down there. On our last resort day/non-park day, instead of going to the pool we stayed in the villa and just lounged around. It was so nice! We were sooooo tired because this time, the heat was worse than usual in July, many days the heat index over 100. So on our last resort day, we went to Kouzzina for breakfast around 9:45, then we went back to the villa and we were going to go to the pool in the early afternoon, but never made it there. We just decided to make it a lazy villa day and it was exactly what we needed. And perfect since DH and I went to Victoria & Albert's that night for dinner and the boys went to the Sandcastle Club over at the Beach Club resort. The boys and I rented a couple of Disney movies at the Community Hall. It was nice to relax and be well rested. We spend a total of 10 nights there, so by a week into it we were pretty tired and that break was just terrific.

We hope to utilize the quiet pool on the villas side of the resort the next time we go to WDW in 2016.

Hi there! Sorry if this was asked already, but other then the current room rehab on the Inn side, are there any future rehabs that anyone knows of? Thinking of staying on the villas side in April and was just wondering. Thanks!
I'm not aware of any soft or hard goods rehab after the BWI rooms…and don't be sorry for asking questions here! BWV was last rehabbed in 2010 so it's very unlikely that anything major would be done for many years. DVC is on a different rehab schedule than non-DVC and their rehabs are not done as often as non-DVC rooms.

I had asked last week which toiletries BWI had - here now in a CL Deluxe room & we don't have the H20 Grapefruit, its the Sea Salt Spa line - and bigger tubes too!
Ooooo, those are lovely and so nice and big. They're usually only in the suites - are they like these beauties?

This is the wall safe at BWV. I "borrowed" the photo from a TripAdvisor review. It's the same size as the other wall safes at WDW and can hold iPads:

Thanks so much for your TR and photos. They're all upright now, BTW. Sometimes PB has a "delayed" reaction to edits.

I'm glad you asked if your room request was granted so that you could adjust it a bit. It's too bad you didn't get a rehabbed room, but at least they moved you up to the 2nd floor. Where do you plan on staying next time?

Two days away from POR then on to BWI.:yay:
:yay:

So funny you mention the quiet pool at VWL - we just booked a resort-only stay there for Easter weekend and the Hidden Springs pool looks wonderful!
