I will start packing this weekend.
To go along with your favorite smells - I love the sounds of the Boardwalk - the music in the background, the boats out on the lake, the bikes on the boards of the Boardwalk.

I will love to see those creepy kid chairs in the lobby! LOL

Packing this weekend too. I can't believe I'm not packed yet. I'm a compulsive overpacker. So, so looking forward to this trip. First trip as Freebirds (kids off to college).

I was so excited last night when I got home from work and my magic bands were in a package on my front porch. I then got a really good laugh when I opened my mail and found an invitation from Disney to participate in the magic bands test for my trip at the end of October. It talked about how to order the magic bands I had already received

I love the Boardwalk, but I am probably one of the few that likes the garden views the best. Too much noise on the Boardwalk side to get all the sleep I need to go all day in the parks.

Indeed...well, pre-packing! Bought some food items that we ship down and bought the usps boxes. The DW and I will start picking out the clothes soon!

We're back after an amazing cruise on the Fantasy. We left PC a little after 10 and we were at the Boardwalk in an hour. Just like last year, they put us on a van to get there quicker. We entered the International Gateway just as the World Showcase opened up and boy, did it fill up quickly. When we got the text that our room was ready, we were given the same room that we had in May, 5003. Not exactly convenient when you plan to spend all your time in EPCOT for F&W

The answer to your second question is that Boardwalk Villas are in the same building as Boardwalk Inn. I'm not sure it really matters which one is closer to Epcot; you're talking a difference of just a few steps.

Not really answer, but a suggestion for question 1.

I am staying at the BWI 10/26-11/3. I started regularly checking My Disney Experience about 4 weeks ago. About 2 weeks ago, I was able to order magic bands and schedule fast pass plus.

Friday, Sept 27, I received my magic bands via UPS. The same day, the US mail delivered an invitation from Disney to test the magic bands and fast pass plus.

If I were you, I would start checking MDE every other day or so. I am going to be at GF Nov 30-Dec 5 and it has let me order my magic bands, but the fast pass plus piece was not available yet. I think it will be in the next few days.

Agreed, that's a looooong walk. Hope you're enjoying the stay anyway! We also loved our cruise on the Fantasy. Amazing ship, we booked another cruise for next year on board. . But, that makes our next upcoming trip the BW! We checked online yesterday and were able to get the MBs and FP+.

Sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet (or maybe we did and I don't know it. If you were at the adult Halloween costume contest, my wife and I were the Fantasy funnels ;-)

I've decided I like the rooms over the Screen Door better, not because of the walk, but because the balconies offer better protection.
