AllEars changed all the URLs for their WDW menus a couple of weeks ago. I've updated all of them in the DINING section so the menu hyperlinks once again take you right to the menu.

Does anyone know what time the store and or bakery is open until in the evening where we could buy milk ( for coffee) and a few breakfast items? We are arriving at MCO 8:15 so didn't know if it would still be open by the time we get there with ME.
The BWB is open from 0630 - 11 PM and I think the Screen Door is also open until 11. There is also a HESS right across the street that's open 24/7.

We own at AKV but are excited to try out Saratoga and BWV in June. We have a pool view studio but we are wait listed for a boardwalk. A little pixie dust would be nice! :wizard: :goodvibes Just a girl's trip, no husbands or kids! We booked the new Illuminations Dessert Party Friday the 13th of June and figured it would be easier to take a boat home instead of bus. BWV
06/13 - 06/15! :cool1::cool1:
Sounds like a fun trip and I'll log your dates.

I rented points thru Davids for the boardwalk in October. I was told on the phone that there was a preferred room and a boardwalk view that were both available at the same price. Naturally we stated we wanted the boardwalk view. In the rental agreement it stated preferred room, but when I linked it to MDX its states garden pool view. Is there a difference between the two? Can I still request a bw view room from Disney?

I'd definitely contact David's again. It's weird how the timeshare works like that, but it's the same number of points for both Boardwalk view and Preferred view (which is either pool, water, or garden views.) If you definitely want Boardwalk view, you're not going to get it based on what MDX says. And I sincerely doubt that you can request it from Disney because the DVC member/timeshare owner is told, upfront, that they have to make the distinction between Boardwalk and Preferred view when they make the reservation. It sounds like there were no Boardwalk view rooms available, so they just decided Preferred would be acceptable without double checking with you. Please, if you really want Boardwalk view, go back to David's and let them know you're unhappy.

First visit to our new home resort BWV. Happy to report a nice surprise, we can see illuminations from our living room window. One bedroom standard view. Soggy day at Epcot today, but still having a great trip!

Well after multiple changes it appears we will be in a 1 bedroom villa from Aug6-Aug15. Looking forward to reading through the thread and for our summer vacation.

This sounds lovely. Not the soggy part but the fireworks from the living room.

WDWKOOK - look at my ticker!!!!! :cool1:

I was able to book the Deluxe CL room with the 30% off Summer discount this morning. Hoping for a 35% discount on it when AP rates are released, if it's even offered. My CM friend said it is not available with F&F at 40% off, now that would have been sweet!

Yay I can't wait to be back at Boardwalk!

I introduced myself a couple weeks back and have been lurking since. I finally have a question :) my family is staying in a studio villa. We'll be snug; me, DH, DD17, DS13. I'm trying to think if there's anyway to rig a privacy curtain. I'm thinking a spring tension rod with a curtain across the hallway after the sink/kitchenette area. Does that make sense? Anyone ever try this? Do you think it might work? Thoughts would be appreciated. TIA

We'll be on the Inn side those same dates! Where in PA are you from?

I'm wondering the same thing but for BWI. I'd like to put up a rod in the bathroom sink area. When we stayed last year, with the position of the mirror on the door, there was no privacy at all. The bathroom is a bit cramped for getting dressed, so the ideal area is by the sinks.

If anyone is there now and can measure, how wide is that opening?

Thanks so much!!!

Our second trip to WDW and first stay at BWV will be 01/25-01/31/2015 :beach:
Congrats and I'll add your dates to the BW Bulletin.

Just got confirmation that we got 2 studios at BWV, 1/25-2/1/15!
You're going right next to Jamie in the Bulletin:thumbsup2

A soggy day at WDW is always better than a soggy day at home - enjoy the view!

Welcome! I'll log your dates and happy Disney planning!

I see it!! It's so bright and shiny - love it! Interesting about not being able to get the CM rate. Wonder if they're just sold-out or blacked-out? Could you have gotten a non-Deluxe room? I'm hopeful you might be able to get a better AP rate. Call as soon as they're released and let us know. Would you like me to add some dates to the BWB?

I can't answer either of these questions, but I can just comisserate about the external sink areas in so many of the Disney resorts. I understand the reasoning behind it -- it allows big families to have some people get ready at the sink(s) while another is in the shower or "using the facilities." But it definitely makes it weird from a privacy standpoint.

Yes please add me! 8/5-11 BWI

I was able to price other options for BWI for my dates thru the CM. He said out of the 10 Deluxe CL rooms at BWI he could see that 6 were occupied for my dates, so that's probably why. So i'm not expecting to see it under the AP discount either, but fingers are crossed!

Yay! I'm in south central between York and Harrisburg. Where are you located?

Oops I for to multi-quote on that last one!

I'm in the Lehigh Valley near Bethlehem. Any kids going on your August trip with you?

I love the Boardwalk. I own at OKW but always try to get a room at Boardwalk. 2 stays coming up. 4/7/14 - 4/11/14 and 9/8/14 - 9/12/14. Can't wait. .

Yes two daughters. Oldest is 10 and the baby will turn 2 on arrival day! Waving north on this rainy day.

Yes, I'm quoting myself.. Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that a tension rod is not the way to go. I wouldn't want to damage the walls in any way. I'd still like to figure something out, though. Now I'm kind of leaning towards using those 3M Command hooks. Either with a rod or just to clip a curtain to it temporarily when getting ready and then take it back down right away. I want the room to look nice... Anyone have measurements for the width of the hallway or of the vanity area?
