Were you in a studio, 1Br or 2BR that had the daybed? That would be PERFECT for our girls trip next week, then no one would have to share a bed!

Only a dedicated studio would have the "daybed". It's about crib sized and looks like a deacon's bench. It is located where the connecting door to a one bedroom would have been if the studio connected to a one bedroom. They used to call this a "Studio Plus" and you could request it. But it's not a request any more and just the luck of the draw.

Does anyone know if they do restricted parking in October during F&W? We love BWI but hate the parking situation. I know during holiday periods they restrict the parking so I am hoping maybe that will help. How much is valet these days?

I must say the parking is the only thing I don't like about the BWI, I hope they do try to sort it.

We had to change our dates for our August trip. I had a nice BB rate, but when I moved it to the week earlier, we missed one day. So, I have a "summer room only" rate for the first day and then my BB rate for the rest of the stay. The CM who made the changes was wonderful. Here's hoping my continuing reservation will give us the room we want and that we won't have to switch rooms after a night. The CM said that I definitely don't want to do on-line check in so that the CM checking us in can double check everything for us. (How many time can you use the word "check" in a sentence.) I was able to also change all of our dining reservations by exactly one week -- had to do a 10 minute change for Flying Fish though.

Now that things are nailed down -- including our flights -- I am so excited for this trip. DD said she is going to wear her Mickey Mouse graduation hat everywhere (we got that for her when DH and I were there last month).

That's what I assumed, but I was hoping to get really lucky & find out there were 1BRs with the extra daybed! Thanks for the info!

Question?? We are staying club level and using ME. Do we just take elevator to check in on CL floor?

Thanks

There should be a cm with a clipboard who will meet and direct you. If not, tell the bell captain that you're staying CL and he'll escort you up or have someone else do it.

I also forgot to ask...will we be able to get the "Happy Anniversary" buttons from the CL staff or where would we get those?

thanks

We've been given them by the CL CM during check in. You can also pick up celebratory specific pins at each park.

How old are they? If they're older teens, they'll be thrilled to be 'dumped' by their embarrassing parents, and, it's only an 'after 2' dumping anyway - just enough time for them to either take naps or eat (I'm thinking they're teens here again;))

Their teen years are easy behind them. They're both in their twenties and trust me when I tell you that they will be po'd if we go to a water park without them ;-)

Here now and loving it. Paid for standard views but got upgraded to garden view top floor looking at Eiffel tower and epcot ball :cool1:

Love love love pixie dust upgrades!!:lovestruc

I have a question for Boardwalk experts. DH and I really love having the refillable mugs on vacation. I noticed there is no real "quick service" area at the BWI. Does BWI have a place to accommodate using the refillable mugs or are they not even really provided for sale? Can you go over to BC/YC to fill up??

You can refill them at the pool bar and once the Bakery reopens there will be a refill station there.

You have a number of options at BWI; the Boardwalk Bakery, the Belle Vue Lounge, Boardwalk Joes and Leaping Horse Libations.

Sounds like you're having a great vacation! The STD View BWI rooms actually include all views except of the BoardWalk/Crescent Lake. You actually didn't receive an upgrade, but the room assignor did give you the perfect STD View 5th floor room location, IMHO. Enjoy Illuminations!

Yes, they sell the mugs at BW Joe's and the BW Bakery and here are the closest refill locations:

The Pool (Leaping Libations), BoardWalk Pizza, BoardWalk Joe's, Seashore Sweets, BoardWalk Bakery and Belle Vue Lounge.

Wow, who knew there were so many options here! I guess I'll have a lot of exploring to do at this resort, which makes me so much more excited!! Thanks!

Thanks for adding Boardwalk Pizza and Seashore Sweets. I had forgotten those two. Now if only I could refill with a chocolate shake at Seashore Sweets!
