I didn't know they did deluxe studios, what makes them deluxe compared to the standard?
On the DVC side the difference is location. The rooms are all the same.

I wanted to book a standard (no view to speak of), but they were already gone for our week in December. So we were asked if we wanted a garden view or pool view and the confirmation from DVC says: Deluxe Studio--Garden View or Pool View. Since we've never stayed, I don't know much about it.

We booked a standard room but requested being close to an elevator due to party members having mobility issues.Staying at the boardwalk inn standard view- us there a chance I'll get a view if something other than the parking lot? If I pay the extra $58 a night I can get a water view- does that mean the boardwalk? I really don't want a crappy view please help me figure out what to do!
Top floor waterview can have a reasonable view of Wishes
Making the request cannot hurt
Congratulations on booking BWI! A Waterview room will have a view of the BW/Crescent Lake so you couldn't see Illuminations from those rooms. To have an Epcot or Illuminations view, you would need to be booked either in a STD View room with an Epcot or Illuminations view as a request (these are actually Garden View rooms, though not bookable as such) or a CL room where your view is by-request only.We just booked BWI for March. This is the first time that we have not booked over 6 months out and the first time at BWI! We have a water view. I would love to be able to see fireworks from our room. Is there a certain 'request' I should put in. I know I'm not guaranteed anything, but I'd love to try!!! On to reading this thread now! Only 57 days! Waking up to 10 degrees, I wish it was tomorrow we left!!!![]()

We stayed CL standard room last week. It overlooked the quiet pool, same side as the lounge. You can see some of Illuminations from the balcony.
It was very nice but my favorite view is from the Polynesian. I love watching the castles change colors. Haven't stayed at BLT
Glad to hear you had a great time! Was it a studio/1BDRM/2BDRM?? I'd love to stay on that end and need to figure out where to request to be.Just back from a wonderful stay at BWV!!!
Loved our room location.. 2054. Close to the lobby and Luna Park Pool!!
Loved the resort. Beautiful and lots to do.. Loved International Gateway entrance.. Never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus and always had a seat!! But missed the monorail......
Second favorite resort so far ( Grand is still my favorite although not always in my budget)
Loved it so much that I rented last minute points at a discount for March 8-10 !!!
Can't wait to hear your reviews!I'll be checking in a week from today! First stay at BWV. Looking forward. I'll have to remember to update you all on the pool and wifi, since everyone is always asking.
