You're very welcome, tinkerbellie16. Nice to see you here all the waaaaaay from the Poly - aloha;)

:thumbsup2

If the Poly had villas and a hot tub, I don't think I would venture elsewhere! But I've talked to DH and the kids and we are going to book CBR with the family (extended family!) and then a long weekend at BWI Villas with DH and the kids. And it's scary because the 1 bdr villa is not much more than a STANDARD Poly room. :scared1:

What you said reminded me of this. If someone was to reserve the Standard View Room on the Boardwalk Inn side and ended up with the driveway/main entrance view, it's possible they could also see Tower of Terror from their room. I saw a video on YouTube of someone who had one of those rooms and on their balcony when they zoomed in, they were able see the Tower of Terror.

Sounds like we need people to post some ToT views!

Lobbies are a big deal, can make or break your first impression when checking in. When we stayed at the YC every time we passed thru the lobby DH would walk over to the big Globe they have there, such a minor detail but for him it made staying at YC great :rotfl:

There is so much in the Lobby at BW but I think his favorite thing is going to be the Golden Carousel/Cherub Chandelier. When he saw the pics of that he was like "WOW" I have to admit it is beautiful and oh so unique

You're right- lobbies are one of my favorite non-park places to visit at WDW.

Love love love the BW lobby! I always spend some time relaxing in those comfy chairs. It's so pretty- after everytime I visit I come home and want to re-do my house to look like it.

Another favorite is the WL- there are so many hidden little nooks with cozy chairs & fireplaces or rocking chairs. You could spend a whole day rotating around all of the seating areas and looking at that amazing lobby.

Have booked a standard CL and hope to have a view of Illuminations @ night. Has anyone had this view in standard CL room? and if so do you have the room number.

I have stayed in a non CL standard at BWI and could see Illuminations, but I do not know the CL room numbers or area. I spoke with an IPO castmember, she said that gardenview was a special booking rate and that it would increase my price from a standard CL rate? That is not what the WDW site implies, but I wasn't online at the time.

Also is there an exit on the ESPN end of the inn or do you have to exit in the area of the lobby? Thanks

KOOK you might want to check on the Garden Suites again, they are CL , it is just that they are such a distance from the lounge, but I do think having your own private entrance and bi-level and whirlpool tub makes up for being less convient to the lounge. Staying at the Garden Suites is another of my dreams places to stay :cloud9:
It would be perfect for your Anniversary

This is one of my dream places to stay too.... I have been secretly trying to figure out a way to convince my husband that we should do one of these suites for our 20th anniversary (i've got 3 years to plan).
I know he'd love it, but spending the extra $$$ is a tough sell! I didn't realize they are CL- maybe that will help me sell the idea;)

Hello!:goodvibes
We will be arriving in WDW on February 29 and staying through March 6. We will be staying on a standard, club level room at the BWI! We are so excited. We were originally supposed to stay at the Poly, but we wanted to extend our stay and the Poly was not available with our discount code. So, it's off the the BWI! My family cannot wait, BWI is our favorite resort.
We will be traveling over DD's 21st birthday. Do any of you have any tips on something special we could do for her? She is a Disney fanatic and I am so excited that we will be in WDW over her birthday!
Thanks!!

We'll be arriving on the 26th! Can't wait! The MK One More Day on the 29th will be an amazing way to celebrate part of your daughter's b-day!

There are no bookable view categories CL at BWI, not sure why the CM said that. :confused3 All standard CL rooms will either have a boardwalk view or a garden view. Ours had a garden view, including a view of the Eiffel Tower and Illuminations. I *think* our room number was 4354? Sorry, I'm really bad about paying attention to that stuff, but we were the third room on the right after you go through the secure CL entry.

We loved our room & our view, but next time we would ask for a similar view further down the hall. Being so close to the entry...though convenient...made things a bit noisy with people going down the hallway in front of our room.

This was the straight-ahead view from our room:

And this was our view of Illuminations:

bowbat already posted photos, but they're also on the first page. I also have a post on the first page dedicated to room comments with room numbers. Some of the rooms mentioned in that post are CL rooms which had Epcot/Courtyard views. Best not to request a room number only because if that specific room number isn't available, the room assignor doesn't know why you requested it and can't then assign you a comparable room. If you've booked a CL room and want an Illuminations view, you should request: "Epcot View." That's what I requested. Good luck and have a great vacation!

I've been doing lots of back reading, thanks so much for this very informative thread!
I picked up the phone today and booked us for the Boardwalk in Oct. Very excited. :yay:
Happy planning, gwynne and I'm glad you've found the thread informative:)
:wave2:

Hi, newbie here! Just wanted to say I love BWI!! Going back "home" to our BWI CL in 92 days! This will be our 4th stay and I'm just as excited as if it were the first.

Just wanted to say I really love the info thread. WDWKOOK you have done an amazing job. :thumbsup2 Love all the pics and the wealth of information.
Thanks so much, fly girl! That't great that you were able to book CL again for your 4th visit. Do you have your ADRs made?

:thumbsup2

Well, maybe the Poly DVC will have hot tubs:rotfl:

Here are some pictures from room #4223 which is a Standard Club Level Room with a Boardwalk view.

The third picture is the exact location of where it would be located when you are walking along the Boardwalk.

From the Villa side, room 2001, a 1 BR all the way at the end next to Jellyrolls.

Have a great trip! We are definitely going to be going to MK for the Leap Day celebration.
Looks like you are from the New England area...we are just north of Boston! Should be a good Patriots game tomorrow!

psac -- That's a FANTASTIC view!! If only the Villas had CL....

MiMi2Three -- I just checked, and our room number was actually 4254. That said, I agree with WDWKOOK; better to request a view-type vs. a specific room. My request was for either boardwalk view or Epcot/fireworks view, and I received the latter. :thumbsup2

Just booked our BCV preferred/boardwalk view for October! SOOOOOOOO excited! This is the first time staying here, and can't wait to see if it lives up to all the good things we hear about it

Checking in to the BWV's for the first time tomorrow! :dance3:
Hope to be back saying the same wonderful things you all have!

What's the best value room we can get that has a view of the Eiffel Tower? Does Boardwalk Inn have the best view of the Eiffel Tower than any other hotel at Disney?
(I hope this is the appropriate place to ask such a question. Please excuse if it's not)

I suppose the least expensive room with the possibility of seeing the Eiffel Tower would be a non-club level Standard View BWI room (the least expensive) and request an "Epcot View." This would be a room that overlooks the courtyard/garden area. On the first page, there are a couple of photos (day and night) of this view.

I don't know about the BC/YC rooms and whether any of those have an Eiffel Tower view.
