Sorry I don't know a great deal about how this works.
I'm staying at Pop for 2 weeks next year and I'm looking to spend 1/2/3 nights at a "posher" resort as a surprise for my bf.
So would this be of any use to me? Sorry for the vagueness!

yes - anyone can rent points from a member, and yes you can use them for a posher hotel - we did this year and are again next year

Check out the points calculator here for an idea of how many you'd need to rent for when/where you want to stay

That's right - but the DVC member can book 11 month sin advance at their own resort (SSR in this case) but only 7 months in advance at any other
