Close dates for WDW endurance events?

Is there a thread or link that shows dates when the WDW marathon and half marathon closed to entries? I see the 2010 Goofy is 65-72% full (depends where one looks). I plan to do the half, but don't want to pull the trigger on non-refundable, non-transferable expenditures until I get further along the C25K program.

There is no "official" date that the events close. They allow a certain number of participants and once that number is reached the race is considered closed. The Goofy is showing so full because it is limited to 3 or 4 thousand. The half and full marathons don't sell out this early. I don't think the full marathon sold out last year, and I don't think the half sold out until at least July or August.

Keep checking the Disney Sports website. They will start posting the % full just like they are for the Goofy.

As the races fill they will update how full they are. From what I understand they don't put up anything till it's 50% full. so the full and half should still be on the low side and time yet to decide on when to pay

I'm watching the Princess. I'm signed up for the Half which just got updated to 90% filled today. The 5K which I am watching closely to decide when I want to part with my money is at I think 85%.

Great! Thanks for the clarification. I was worried that the registration site would only show the % full for Goofy and the others would stop abruptly. I will sit on my hands...

Hey Ronda!

I wanted to make sure you saw that the Half was at 50% now. You still have time but you'll want to take a peek every so often. I imagine as it gets closer to filling someone will post updates on the WISH Events sub-board too.

I did. On the expected time and race I used 3:00 (which seems ambitious right now) and I named the race estimate. Since I'm not claiming anything under 2:30, does that get ignored?

Oh good. Now that I live back in Florida only 45-60 minutes from the World I want to sign up for one but I think I'm starting with the half marathon. It can be walked or walk/jogged right? I'll take time later to spend over in the event threads though.
