I'm trying to make an autograph book for my DD using clip art of a character for each page. My question is, how do you keep the image from geteting distorted when you enlarge it? Mine look yucky. Thanks!

I've noticed that for me it depends upon the quality of the clipart I'm starting with. Also when enlarging in like Word, make sure you hold down the Control (Ctrl) button as you drag your arrow. This keeps the clipart in proportion. In other programs, I'm not sure how to keep the item in proportion, but it is important to do so.

Hope that helps some.

Thanks for the link! I can ALWAYS use some more clipart! :wizard:

Can u please explain how I can use these. I don't want to steal the bandwith their talking about. I'd like to use it for paper piecings. Thanks

Go to a clip art site, and right click on the pic you want with your mouse. Select "save as" and save it somewhere on your computer. You can then use it as you wish!

Hi. To resize an image, most click and drag to stretch or condense the image. Like you would in Word or something else. But what that does, is takes an image, say, it is 150 x 150 pixels. And it stretches it to a larger image. But the quality of the image doesn't change, it just stretches it. For a better quality, you need a graphics program. I use Ulead PhotoImpact. It's a powerful program, but the learning curve to use it is not as much as some of the other programs on the market. And it costs less than $100. That program, and others like it have a tool to resize an image. When you increase the size, it keeps the quality of the original.

But, even with a software program for graphics, if you start out with a really small image, and try to increase the size, it will distort the image. So, if you start with a good size image, it will turn out better.

I hope this helps!
