Clinton's expected concession speech?

I guess there are people that care nothing for the issues and just vote based on their like or dis-like of a person. It just surprises me the masses.

really? It doesn't suprise me in the least. We live in a society where way too many people don't even know the issues, they llive in a 30 second sound bite. And hell, half the people don't even vote.

Okay, lets go with marginally different, or even slightly different. :worship: Can we at least agree, that on issues that BO and HRC are closer than JM and HRC. :hyper:

Sure so I would say that BO could be coke and HC could be pepsi and JM could be Mountain Dew to keep up your food analogy :) :cool1:

There are a lot of people that just don't trust Obama. Is that a good enough reason? I don't think it is fair for people to conclude that if you like Clinton and don't like Obama, it must be because he is black. How about some people just don't like him?

Kristine

Sadly some people can not wrap it around their brain that not every one thinks Obama is great. Some really have serious questions about him and his shady dealings in the past (that the media loves to poo poo) Nope, it must be because he is black and only that reason! :rolleyes1

Talk about making it a race issue :rolleyes1

I think some fans of Obama, can not see that he is not perfect and anyone that doesn't feel the "love" must be because he is black. I think some Obama fans love to keep playing the race card!

I can hear it now, Obama didn't win the election, McCain beat him by a landslide and quote my words people will be shouting it was because he is Black! No mention that the Dems could not get a solid/strong candidate to pull it home for them since the 90s (who happened to be a Clinton by the way ;) ), nope people will say it is because he is black! I am already prepared for the shouts of racism.

I will give the guy credit and say yes his speeches are very good and I can see why someone would be inspired by them BUT I am a realist it take a heck of a lot more then good speeches to run a Country!

Ha! Most people don't even follow the issues and REALLY know where their candidate stands on them. They listen to little news bites and that is it.

Yeah, most people do vote on their like or dislike of a person,

Most probably don't want to admit but in the beginning how many people vote for Obama just because their dislike Hillary, that they really didn't know where he stood on the issues? I bet a lot more then a lot of people would admit

I can wrap my brain around that that just fine. What I can't wrap my brain around, is surely there were some political qualities about Hillary that you found appealing and that you agreed with. Right? Hillary is gone, caput, out of the picture. Its time for those people to choose a "plan B". And how Plan B can be John McCain and not Obama.... That is what I don't understand.

I didn't say it was McCain, honestly I am waiting to see who will be running for the Independent party and research that person (depending who it is) Then I can pick my plan :)

There are more then Obama and McCain as our choices.

No, I was talking about John McCann, the guy running for Cal State Assembly, District 78. http://www.johnmccann.com/ Who'd you think I was talking about?

{mortified by his typing abilities he slinks back to lurking only}

Cool sorry, I just wasn't sure if you were doing it on purpose like some that are calling him McSame or something.

Good to know. I hear Libertarian presidential candidate Bob Barr's willing to fill you in on his plans for America and has the next 6 months of his calendar free and clear. He'd love to come over and take you to lunch, clean your house, and possibly mow your lawn. Any time that's good for you is good for him.

Well of course you think people will say that if he lost it's because he's black because that is exactly what HS and Hillary are claiming as to why she lost the nomination (only substitute the word woman for black). Oh no, it can't be because she chose incompetent people to run her campaign, or that heaven forbid some people just might not like or trust her. NO, it's because she's a woman.

And before you reiterate that astoundingly intellectually dishonest "popular vote" crap -even if you count Michigan which really shouldn't be counted there are still a few caucus states that do not release "popular" votes so there is no way to know what the true popular vote is. And furthermore, that is not how the nomination is decided.
Don't forget she has more popular votes than Obama....CNN said tonight that she has the popular vote ..Obama has 49.8%..but that is a moot point as this point...
Here we go again with Bush/Gore all over again... one with the popular vote, the other with the electoral vote advantage...

She should bow out gracefully. She gave him a run for the money but it's time to unite the party to be able to take on McCain.

.

See, I know you support Obama, fine...but you just said some people just might not like or trust her. I understand that. Fine that is your (in general) choice. No skin off my back and I sure am not going to knock you over the head until you give in to liking her.

But why oh why can't Hillary supporters have the same opinion of Obama, that we just don't like or trust him? When I say I just don't like Obama or trust him, the fact that he is black is always thrown in my face! I have been called a racist and that I must fear black men for not throwing my support behind Obama right on this board before!

So that is why I think people would be complaining when (if) Obama loses the general it is because he is black or people are afraid of a black man.
I personally have already heard it. Don't blame Hillary, she never called me a racist!

When did Obama call you a racist?

When did Obama call you a racist?

:rotfl2: See I just knew when I submitted it I should have added more

I meant to say Don't blame Hillary, she never called me a racist, that was some Obama supporters that did that.

Clear now ;)

What I find funny is people saying she should bow out gracefully are in large part part of the same group that was saying how wrong it was that Gore lost.

See, the difference is we had an actual popular voter Gore -we don't for Hillary. With Gore there was not four states which released no popular vote at all, was there? With Gore was there a state that he and Bush vowed not to put their names on the ballot and that the US has delcared before the vote took place that their votes would not count but that Bush had put his name on the ballot afterall and Gore did not?

Hillary did not win the popular vote -Gore did. Big difference.
