I've just been down the rabbit hole of reading various things I've saved. Dad's journals I digitized, my work history and stuff I loved from teaching that I can't bear to part with, files that documented the kid's college costs, even early wish lists the kids made for Christmas and some of their old school projects and stories. It's taking a long time and I'm not deleting very much!
Since I'm saving a lot, the biggest thing is trying to figure out all the things I have saved in multiple places from when we had different computers, etc. and tidy it all up. Pictures are a big part of that mess - making sure I don't delete anything I don't have backed up elsewhere.
It's not a big deal for me, but I'm starting the cleanup for the future and trying to consolidate and label etc. to make it so the kids will be able to actually find things they want and not have to wade through a whole bunch of files.
It's so easy having stuff saved, but files still have to be managed!
Does anyone else have a cluttery mess on their computer?
