Cleaning out bag/pocketbooks

I cleaned out 5 bags this morning and I found a few interesting items. My DH just shook his head in disbelief and called me Mrs. Potato Head (think TS3). He asked me where my little red monkeys were!

My DD13 started counting:
25 pens, 7 pencils and 4 highlighters
4 bottles of hand sanitizer
3 ketchup packets
7 gift cards (I'm going shopping this week)
2 flashdrives
10 lipsticks and gloss
3 stylists for Nintendo DS

I usually find a few expired coupons!

Before I go on business trips I have to de-mommy my purse.

I usually find:
- Matchbox cars
- Small rocks (both my kids love to pick up rocks and put them in my purse!)
- Empty packets of gum
- Hair elastics
- DDs lip gloss and her sunglasses
- DSs pacifier (no longer though!)

That usually lightens it by a few pounds!

I carry a wallet, cell phone and a pen in my purse.

I've never understood people (my mother being one of them) who have to carry everything but the kitchen sink around with them.

I always find expired coupons, empty gift cards and some junk of the kids. The one thing I can never find is a pen :lol.

Sometimes things get put in there that you don't know about. That's why I always empty out prior to going to any airport.

And hey OP, I can never find a pen. Can you lend me one of your 25.
Mine doubles as my girl scout leader bag so I usually have badges/patches/meeting agendas, etc.

I clean mine out when I feel it is just too heavy to carry as is.

Usually I find:

Old wrapped gum linted over
Multiply pens
Old receipts form daycare
Store receipts, all at least two feet long with additional coupons
Handy wipes, some dried up
At least three tissue packets, half-full
Countless lip gloss and chapsticks
Multiply tubes of mini sun-block, half-full
Work papers, old to-do list, crinkled post it notes
At least a few copies of camp registration or after school programs
PTA/school notices
Old school lunch menu’s
Kids confiscated toys
Exclusive store coupons, always expired
Expired free car washes

No wonder I can never find the house keys when I need them

I think this is why I only have 1 bag. So I don't have duplicates of stuff. And I try not to carry stuff I don't need since its heavy and causes damage to my back and shoulders.

I find a lot of reciepts! Whenever I pay at a store I have my purse open because I just pulled my wallet out of it, so when I'm putting my wallet back in, the reciept gets tossed in too.

I have my wallet, checkbook, lip gloss, business card holder, 2 pens and some tampons in my purse right now. I have a small purse because I don't want to collect all that junk .

LOL. This morning I was in desperate need of some Benadryl and decided to go through handbags. Sure enough, bag #5 had a bottle.
