DH, DD6, DS3 are I are getting into Orlando late the evening before our WDW ressie and are looking for a cheap but clean place to stay for the night. It can be up to 20 miles away just not too expensive and has to be CLEAN......any suggestions???

what is cheap to you?
Travel Zoo has a great special for Homewood Suites at $79.00 a night. I think that's great.

Cheap, close, clean (and free continental breakfast): Quality Inn Maingate West.

Country Inn & Suites - S Apopka Vineland Rd - Orlando
$99 with AAA card -- $109 without AAA
CLEAN - 2 or 3 blocks from Downtown Disney
407-239-1115

We stay here each year the night before we check in to Disney.
You will love it! :yay:

I would love to be at the $50 a night rate but........we will have to stay farther away from the park which is fine b/c we are only there for 1 night. I will keep checking! Thanks!! :)

for one night go with priceline.

You should consider the reviews on priceline, travelocity and expedia. They have extensive client reviews on many hotels in the area. It's a great way to get first hand info on local hotels.

Do a search on this board for the Comfort Inn LBV. People have gotten it for around $50 using the Orlando Magicard, and say it's clean & decent. It's near DTD.

Good Luck!

I booked a last minute trip for a week in May from UK and stayed at the Country Inn and really liked it. During that week they were replacing a lot of the furniture including all the sofa beds. Free high speed internet access and free buffet breakfast was a big plus :sunny:

I've seen these hotel advertisement books in GA, but I can't remember if there is one for Florida- I saw it in the local (Tucker, Georgia) IHOP, it was light green, and it listed all of these hotels at great deals. I remember looking up hotels in the Gatlinburg, TN area and comparing online and the rates in the book were as good as you could get online, if not cheaper. Could someone out there in cyberspace know what I'm talking about? Anyone?

The great thing about having a book in your hand is that you could drive down without a single reservation (because this was basically a coupon book). If you ask to see the room first you can tell if it's grungy/noisy or not. If it's not up to your standards (whatever they may be), then you've lost nothing. Hop in the car and try the next place.

I'm going to keep my eye out for another one of those. . .

We paid $32(tax included)for a night in May through octopustravel.com for Quality Inn Maingate West. At the hotel we had to pay
1.97(some figure like that)for hotel fee. There was a good continental breakfast too.

When we arrive late at MCO, I like to use Priceline for a room. We bid on a 2 1/2 star and got the Amerisuites Orlando for $35, 42 with taxes and fees. They gave us chilled water in the shuttle to hotel, and had two more bottles in the room. Plus I love their breakfast buffet -- sausage patties and scrambled eggs with the usual pastries. They even had make your own waffles (just round, not Mickey) I will probably try for this when we fly in late Friday for our Feb vacation cruise.
