Tia!!

I haven't stayed at any of these hotels but I do know about transportation to DL for the Hilton. They use a third party shuttle, it picks up in front of Embassy Suites (we stayed there in Aug), it leaves 15 and 45 after the hour very promptly which was nice. It leaves DL on the hour and half hour. You'll be in DL in 15 minutes, 20 max, depending on lines at bag check and ticket gates. Cost is $5 per adult and $2 per child. There's also a Target within walking distance if you want to pick up drinks and snacks.

HGI and Stanford are wildly different. Stanford is a standard motel, nothing fancy, was just what we needed. I liked their breakfast, pool was nice. We stayed in a kids' suite with 2 bathrooms and got a good deal. Hilton is much more upscale. By booking this late, you may find that there isn't much difference in price between Stanford (which is a budget place) and the Hiltons. They're both going to be expensive.

If you're looking at Hilton, is there a reason you're looking at Garden Inn instead of Doubletree? It's closer to the parks, and also close to Toy Story shuttle.

Stanford inn is great. We also stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite and got an amazing deal. Great, full breakfast, great pool and spa and ART right outside.

I'd definitely stay again!!!

What are your dates and what price range are you looking for? Could you get away with a 2 double/queen room, and have your boys share a bed?

I would think at this point you might find a better deal by using hotwire or the like to get one of those last-minute deals, but calling hotels might also yield good results. Everything will be more expensive now because it's close to the dates than it would have been months before.

You really have few options that are less than $100/night USD. Most that I'm seeing on google (go to google maps and type in anaheim hotels or anaheim cheap hotels or the like, and put in your dates for accurate prices) are around $150-$180 a night for weekdays in mid-October.

Yes a double queen or even king with pull out work well.

Dates are either oct 20 or 21st - 25th

I just want clean and safe, comfy beds and cheap lol. On the ART route or its own shuttle would be nice...

Has anyone ever tried lmt? Or gotten good deals somewhere this close to the dates? I have never used a third party to book a hotel so i know no tricks at all

We liked Standford when we stayed there a couple years ago. Would stay there again. We are basic/budget hotel people. All we are looking for is clean & comfortable. Internet, parking & breakfast included is a big plus.

disneychrista has a reasonable take on experiencing Disneyland. Although it's nice to be at the onsite hotels, usually the focus is on enjoying the DL/DCA parks. Spend time/money on the parks, and just have a decent hotel room available for rest and regroup.

I personally didn't like Clarion but it has been a few years since we stayed, the curtains to the outside were stained and torn the knobs were not on our ac/heat unit I will not stay here again!! Have never stayed at the others all though Stanford has been on my radar before just always ended up staying else where

Remember to budget the cost of ART or shuttle tickets into your room rate along with any hotel fees, such as parking or resort, when comparing the cost of different hotels. DisneyTouristblog recommends using https://www.hoteltonight.com/#r:177113977204024303 to book rooms for a good discount. I've never used them before though. I usually get good deals by booking directly through a hotel. However, it seems that prices are going up because I've done some hypothetical searches and not found the prices I've seen before or others are quoting.

Hotel Tonight is a good place to score last minute room discounts. Also works great for Vegas.

Comparable to Hotwire Hot Rate or Priceline Discounted Rates

last minute = day of. Hotel Tonight, although they have expanded their service, was intended for hotels to offer last minute deals for that very night. Still does work on a number of levels at times, Hotels have caught onto the online game, tho there are chances to score deals on 3-4star hotels. Works really well in Vegas. Some of the Anaheim properties do participate as well. Rates will literally vary by the minute and hour on that site. Hotels want to sell-out on their rooms, so you'll sometimes see 20-40% drops on price for that night only.

My last minute trips range from 24 hours before to a few weeks , so it's subjective. However I've had the best luck with Orbitz myself. We prefer Orbitz because of the Orbucks we earn on our next stays and they often have better than AP rates for the onsite hotels we stay at typically once or twice a year. Going budget our go to has been Super 8 on Katella - free parking , free continental breakfast and relatively close ( 15-20 minute walk) and next to Garden walk. Average rates are $69 to $89 a night for a 2 queen room.

How did you get to the parks?
