Hi there! I usually post on the CB, but was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Clarion Hotel in Anaheim? If so, how far is it to actually get into the park?

They have a $59 per night rate for Armed Forces from now until December 2004, and we were wondering if this is a good deal.
Any help you can give is appreciated. (We did WDW last year, and would love to do Disneyland this year for 3 or 4 days.)

Bret's Disneyland Lodging Link and I'm not finding the Clarion on it which to me says it's not among the closest ones. I have seen it on my searches for off-site resorts; so, it's by Disneyland just not real close.

Anyway, I'm posting because I got an excellent rate through Expedia for Desert Palm Inn (not to be confused with Desert Inn and Suites). My rate was $51 for Fri and Sat and $45 for the weeknights for early June. You do need to pay upfront for this rate but to me it's worth it. This is a three star resort and includes continental breakfast, a frig and a microwave in your room. I grabbed the rate.

By the looks on the map it's closer to California Park. I've not stayed here before but for the rate for a three star resort I think it will be hard to be it.

The Clarion used to be known as the Quility Inn Maingate. In the link below you can see it listed in the lower left hand corner below the Marriot. It is a tower hotel and has gotten decent reviews. The walk to the front gates of the parks would be 15-20 minutes.
