We want a hotel that is really close to US/IOA.
(walking, or free shuttle)

We also want a cheap one, as we are staying there 2 nights before we head to WDW.

What is a good cheap hotel?

Continental breakfast would be good. A pool would be good too. Restaurant would be good too.

How is the Clarion?

I was wondering about the Clarion too. But someone suggested the Hawthorn Suites Universal, it's an all suite hotel too. Seems like it's a pretty good deal. Continenetal breakfasts, free shuttle to WDW, US, IOA, SW and Wetn Wild. And happy hour everyday! ;) It was $95 a night when I checked for our party of 3 adults 3 children. :thumbsup2

We are staying Sunday night at LaQuinta on International Drive and American Way. Best rate is $79 and AAA is $71.70. We are getting a Jr. Suite with fridge, microwave, king bed and sofa sleeper for $25 and 7000 Reward points. They have continental breakfast and shuttle. Used to be Red Horse Inn.

I stayed at the Clarion a couple of years ago. The hallways were in need of overhaul but our room was fine and spotlessly clean and had a fridge and microwave. The staff was super!
The only downside was the parking - it's very, very tight in the lot when the hotel is full. The best part was the pair of ducks in the pool each morning!

I don't remember exactly what I paid but it was a special on their website.

Wherever you stay, have a great time!
