I figured I would ask here for guidance before waiting on hold via phone.

Is there a cutoff for claiming cruises towards CC?

I book all cruises under my info/log in, but my first dis cruise was as a teen uhh maybe about 15 years ago. Is that too long ago to have moved and count towards my CC since technically it was me who cruised it but not who booked it? Or does it not count at all seeing as my dad booked it. I know the rules have changed in the last few years I believe so I'm curious if it throws its validity out the window.

If no, any ideas what info I'll be asked for when calling?

Any cruises you've taken on DCL, regardless of your age at the time, count toward your Castaway Club status.

You may be required to provide proof that you were on that cruise. A KTTW card works.

No rule changes as to what qualifies for status level. Only changes were what perks were offered at the various levels.

Yeah, my teens got their own Silver membership info from the cruise they took with me this summer. As Shmoo says, the extent of proof they might want is another question. Looks like you will have to call them after all.

Thanks all. I will do the leg work to get my additional cruise now that I know there's no expiration.

I had a cruise not credited to me years ago; had to get the online website I booked through to get the proof that I was booked on the cruise.

They had proof of my sailing on 9 October 1998, I did not need any additional information since I knew when I sailed. I was a minor at the time.

The question I have is - did you change names between that cruise and the cruises you now book? If so, they probably can look you up with your name, and then change the name on the membership.

DCL will have record of it and will look it up using your name. The number would have been assigned to you on the very first cruise and would show up even with so many years from the first to the recent.
I have friends who first sailed in 2000 and went back for their second in September 2016. A simple phone call was all that was needed. Your number would also be in consecutive order to the rest of your family who took the cruise also. For example, my husbands number ends in 14, mine ends in 15, daughter in 16 and son in 17.

Yes you should get credit whenever you're on a Disney cruise. My granddaughter started sailing at 3. She's now 9 and is a gold castaway club member. You would've gotten a castaway club number assigned to you on your first cruise. You can probably call or email them and they can tell you what your number is.

I talked to my dad about trying to access his email and he magically scanned me over a copy of the paper statement! How awesome is he. I'm hoping it won't be an issue, but they booked me as"Tina" since that's what my family called me and I have since booked all of mine under "Christina" per documents and ID.

Since the initial cruise and the ones I booked, no. But going forth since the last one yes. So hopefully I can knock everything out at once!

They will have you listed as Tina and your last name at that age. :) When you speak to them, just ask them to update your name to what is on your passport and how you are traveling now. It should not be a problem.

And my kids thought they were a bag of chips when they hit platinum at 15 and 13 :) I will have to tell them that there are kids hitting it at 6. I think I have failed as a parent. lol

I met a 6 year old in the concierge lounge who was platinum.

These are making me LOL

So my son who is 6 months will automatically be silver bc of rooming with his mom? This is how it seems to work with DH.

Also, once I credit this cruise that will be 3 and booking a 4th so DH is curious if we are gold ON our 5th or "after 5" so ON our 6th?

Once you complete 5 cruises, you're Gold. So, on your 6th.

You will be on cruise number 3, they will be on cruise number 1 (son) and 2 for husband. ( I am just assuming he has sailed one other time with you? )
You will be gold after your 5th cruise, so perks start on cruise 6. Your husband and son will be silver still though. Although the Gold perks benefit everyone in the stateroom.

Silver is starts on cruise 1 until 5. Gold is 6 to 10 and platinum is 11 and up.

Awesome! Thanks! Perks just apply to stateroom makes sense.

Thanks for all the help!!

You aren't Silver until after you complete your first cruise. So you would be Silver on cruises 2-5, followed by Gold 6-10 and then Platinum after that.
