I wanted to check in with the knowledgeable folks here and see if my strategy for EE to DCA next Monday will work. We will be 2-3 adults, one toddler who is tall enough to ride RSR, and a 1.5 year old who is not tall enough. Here is our plan:

1. Everybody ride LFT and Mater (I am pretty sure the 1.5 year old is tall enough, but will have to measure as he is close. If not, do they have child swap on these too?).

2.Get child swap pass for RSR and then have 1 adult (or 2, if we end up with 3 people) ride it through the SR line (is this open right at EE opening?), while the remaining adult stays with the baby and toddler.

3. Once they are done, the adult(s) who already rode can take the baby and get in the FP line for RSR FPs to ride at night. While they are in line for FP, the remaining adult and the toddler use the child swap pass to ride RSR through the FP line.

4. Everybody go to TSMM together, then hit the rest of the park.

Is this allowed or do I have anything wrong? Any suggested changes to this strategy or things to be aware of? Thanks!

Personally I would do it different. With RSR having the longest wait time of the 3 rides I would start there.

Start at RSR with the adult (or 2 adults if there is 3 adults total) and the child old enough to ride. Get a baby swap pass for the other adult in your party. Send the other adult and toddler over to stand in line for FP for RSR.

After adult and child get off of RSR if it is before the others have returned with FP then head of to Maters or LFT. Adult(s) and child ride together on one of those rides and get baby swap.

Once other adult has returned with FP for RSR. Send them straight over to RSR with baby swap. They can ride with child again or with the 3rd adult if they go. Other option is to hold the baby swap and do the single rider line.

After everyone has taken a turn on RSR finish up the other two rides with the baby swaps.

I hope that made sense ... :confused3

When we went on July 5 it was myself and my 5 kids. The youngest was not tall enough for any of the rides and she is just shy of 2. My 2 sons and I got into line at 7:20 for RSR (35 min posted wait). My daughters walked to the entrance and got baby swap (7:25ish). My girls then headed straight to the FP line. They were second in line.

Boys and I were off RSR with in 25 minutes or so. The girls were still in the FP line. Boys and I got in line for Maters (20 min posted wait). Got a baby swap for Maters for my girls. We were off the ride right around 8am and the girls had just gotten FP's.

We all headed to RSR for the girls to ride with baby swap. My girls decided to ride single rider instead as the wait was less than 20 minutes. My 14 yr old went in first and my 21 year old followed about 5 minutes later. Both were off the ride with in 15 minutes. Mind you the ride is almost 6 minutes long so this was a quick turn around. We held the baby swap to use for later.

The boys, toddler and I headed over to Paradise Pier while the girls rode Maters. We skipped LFT until the late afternoon ... I believe it was around 2. Did baby swap on this also. It think the boys and I waited 20 minutes and the girls walked on with baby swap.

Used our FP's for RSR around 8 that evening. I think it took a total of 30 minutes for both groups to get through the line. We never did use the baby swap from that morning.

TSMM was a 15 minute wait when the boys and I got over their that morning. That was with it breaking down while we were in line.

This plan worked well for us and we were all satisfied. I hope I have helped and not confused you. LOL

Thanks, you do have me confused but in a good way :) Sounds like there are many options and ways to make the FP/baby swap combination flexible. We like to stay together as much as possible, and only split up on rides where we can't all ride, so we may not follow your plan exactly but you certainly gave me lots of good ideas.

I have heard conflicting reports about the SR line and baby swap -- can my husband go through the SR line while I get a baby swap card? Then I go back through FP later using the baby swap? Or are you only allowed to use one or the other?

Thanks again!

I don't like to split up much either but for some things it was just easier.

I am not sure about the SR and baby swap but I don't see why not. :confused3 I would imagine it would be fine. If you are a husband, wife and child (that is not big enough for the ride). I imagine they would let him do SR and you a baby swap or say that you would need to do SR when he is done.

No matter what you do I say have someone in line for FP as early as possible. :thumbsup2 That will be your best guarantee for getting on the ride at any time of the day.
