 What classes did you sign up for -
I heard it was easy to register compared to past years!
I KNOW you will have a blast and meet lots of great people!

I am so sorry - I was out of control at work yesterday and when I finally looked up it was lunch time. I will not be going but, really, it would have been great for me and I would have loved to go with you. I really need to get a swift kick in the pants and get scrapping.

I'm going, too. :bounce: I can't believe I'm going again so soon but I figured why not. At the moment I'm jobless and childless - never know when that might change I won't have this kind of freedom anymore.

The only problem I see at the moment is I have no place to sleep there.

Looks like we have some of the same classes just at different times. Oh well.

Are you staying at the hotel? Are you planning to join a dorm or enter any of the contests? I think I'll sit out the dorm thing this time. I had a really great time with it in Nashville but it was a lot of work. I don't really have the time beforehand to devote to planning for dorm events this time around either. If I find a room/roommate I may do the door sign again though, that was fun.

I do not see any classes that are the same, but we HAVE to meet up! I am not staying at the hotel...it is just down the road from me, in fact DH works at the World Trade Center. Don't worry too much about rooms, when I went to CKU-NE I did not have a room until 2 days before...was prepared to sleep in the car or on a floor...but I was going!

We should definitely plan a little "Dis Meet". It will be cool to finally meet up with some of you!

We definitely have to meet.

(I felt so bad in Nashville. I actually sat and talked with Pattievers for quite a while at one of the crops and then sat next to her at breakfast the next morning. It didn't even dawn on me who she was until commencement and I couldn't find her again. The thing was, we were talking all about trips to WDW. I guess I was so caught up in the moment that I wasn't thinking DIS at all. Didn't help that I was sitting there in a costume with contests on my mind. I definitely won't let that happen again. PROMISE!!!)

Yipee - it looks like we will be in at least a couple of classes together! We have to plan to meet up formally.

It will be great to finally meet you all!

I will be commuting too since I only live about 6 miles away but plan on being there for every moment:smooth:

Can I pop over for a DIS meet dinner, even if I haven't signed up?

That would be a lot of fun castlegazer. My guess is Saturday would be best because classes end at 5:00 and commencement doesn't start until 7:00. But on Thursday and Friday there are evening classes 5:30-6:30 with evening activities starting at 7:00. Another option might be Wednesday evening before anything actually officially begins. I don't know when everyone else plans to arrive, but I'm going to fly in sometime on Wednesday. Where is everyone staying? Or is it close enough for the rest of you to sleep at home and commute back and forth? I'm still looking for a room. I'd prefer to stay at the Seaport but will make a contingent plan in case that never happens.

(I hear the Hilton at the airport is just a water-taxi ride away. Anyone know for sure?)

For those of us attending, we should plan to meet up Wednesday evening or Thursday morning so we can put a name with the faces!

Then we should plan on having a little Dis Meet - Saturday dinner sounds good to me - and if others want to come into the city, that would be great!

I will be at the Seaport. I booked last fall when they first announced. DH will be joining me for part of the trip so he can try to go to a game while in town.

I was on the fence about going until the very last day.....can I also tell you at 9:30pm the other night, right before registration, our computer crashed - as did I! I was in panic mode while DH fixed it!!

Great idea to meet up before all the real craziness begins. I'd vote for Wednesday evening since it gets really nuts before registration. We could have a leisurely dinner or dessert and get to know each other, and even plan other time(s) to get together if we want.

Any of you planning on participating in a dorm? I haven't decided for sure yet, but I'm leaning away from it since I don't really have a lot of free time between now and July. (And right now my mind is all about plans for our upcoming WDW trip.)

I found a bed at the Seaport. I'm so glad because I really wasn't looking forward to staying somewhere else. I like being where all the action is. Anyway, this girl from Nashville told me I could share her room with her. :bounce: What a relief to know where I'm going to be sleeping at night.

Wednesday night sounds good. I think DH will definitely be joining me now to take in a game! If I am not dead tired by Sunday he and I will probably make a day of it in Boston before heading home. We typically spend one weekend a summer strolling around town!

I told a group on twopeas that I would be interested in joining a dorm, but may have to wait and see how involved they get. Potentially, I could be away for most of the month of May for work! UGH!

You guys just let me know and I will work it out to come on in and hang out with you prior to your scrapping frenzy. Wednesday works out great for me too as weekends in the summer get a little crazy for me.

CKU is at the Seaport Hotel?

Bumping:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I would love to meet up with you as well! I will be commuting so let me know where & when & I'll be there!:teeth:

Have we decide for sure that we're going to meet on Wednesday? I'm finally getting around to making my flight arrangements and trying to figure out what time I should plan to get in.

Anyone have any idea how long it actually takes to get from the airport to the Seaport Hotel?
