What are your favorite CityWalk restaurants? We like just about any cuisine, so are open to anything, but don't want anyting too fancy (we have 3 teenagers). Are there any restaurants that are must visits when you go???

Margaritaville, Hard Rock, and NBA City will be three common responses. The only place that would be "fancy" is Emeril's. Everything else is really good.

You have to get the Volcano Nachos from Margarittaville

Just don't plan on eating a Cheeseburger in Paradise after that!

We do something different every time we go.
We really liked NBA City and Hard Rock Cafe was a bust for us. Too loud and gave my DS and myself a bad headache.

I want to try Margaritaville and Bubba Gumps next time. Plus Mythos in IOA.

I know this will sound crazy, but several years ago we ate at NBA city. On some sort of impulse, I ordered the T Bone steak, the price was not even ON the menu. I did not even ask what it was.

It was the best steak I have ever had, I even let others taste a piece and they agreed. It was expensive, though. Maybe just a fluke, but a great memory.

We always eat at Hard Rock, I have the All Access Pass, so we can get seated fast even when it is crowded.

Talkig about CW only, the best meal I ever ate was at Latin Quarter.

We really enjoyed Bubba Gumps - there are none around where we are (I don't even think they are in Canada) - our kids 12 and 15 really enjoyed it also. We tried Margaritaville but the band was on and it was just too loud for dinner, DH and DS15 stayed at the bar and had nachos and DS said they were the best he ever had. DH was too busy enjoying the margs and the craft beer :lmao:

I have to say Nascar Grille and then Hardrock Cafe

I haven't been to Universal until I've had my Caribbean Chicken Salad at Margaritaville. We love the place!

We also enjoy NBA City, Nascar Cafe and the Hard Rock. We just get burgers or sandwiches whenever we go to these.

We still have several to try. I want to check out Pat O'Briens sometime.

subscribing, wondering the same thing...We have never eaten at city walk, we usually leave at go to Bubbalous Bodacious BBQ which is nearby and very tasty!

I'm a big fan of Bubba Gump's! I don't even like seafood. They have plenty of other food as well and all the food I've tried there has been delicious! Good mixed drink menu if that interests you. A very casual atmosphere--good for little kids too. If you've never been to one, you should try it!

Hi,
My first trip to universal is in August. Do you need reservations to most of these restaurants for dinner?

Since you're going to be here after Harry Potter opens, I would say yes...the crowds will affect CityWalk too and all those people have to eat. You can make reservations that morning if you wanted. There's a kiosk in front of the theater that can handle that for you.

We've never had a bad meal at Hard Rock plus I think teenagers would enjoy the decor and the atmosphere. :thumbsup2

We're looking forward to trying Bubba Gumps for the first time on our next trip. :hippie:

We really enjoyed Bob Marleys-sat at the bar and had a terrific bartender who was very knowledgeable about him-food was really good and unusual.City Walk is what Downtown Disney should aspire to be.

Latin Quarter was great. Don't forget the 10% AAA discount on almost all of those restaurants. (Food only, not liquor.)
