FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Fed up with dogs fouling their streets, city officials in Germany's financial capital Frankfurt have proposed making them wear large number plates so that offenders can be traced.
Peter Postleb, head of the "Clean Frankfurt" campaign, said city officials would rely on the public informing police about the defecating dogs, which could be easily identified through the number plates around their necks.
"Some people just let their dogs do their business anywhere," Postleb said, adding that owners could be fined 150 euros. "If they know their dog can get them rumbled, they might just think twice about it."
I wonder if they can get vanity plates......like Sir Poopsalot.
