City Walk/US question

We haven't decided if we wanted to do US or not, We were at Universal Hollywood last year and my kids didn't enjoy it too much except for the water play area. However, my son LOVES the movie Hop. Do you know if we went to City Walk if there are any stores that sell Hop Merchandise? Is there a fee to get into City Walk, I believe it was free in Hollywood, but not sure about Orlando. If we did decide to go again this year, do you know if there are any Character meetings with EB? Thanks so much!

No fee to enter City Walk per se, but parking nearby is $15/day, or $3 after 6p. Can't help you with EB or Hop--sorry.

Universal Hollywood and Universal Orlando are two totally different environments. IMHO there is much more to do for the kids at both Universal Orlando parks, plus Orlando has something Hollywood doesn't - Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

As for CityWalk - there is no fee and in Orlando to get to the parks, you walk through CityWalk whereas in Hollywood, Citywalk is off to the side of the main gate.

I don't believe there are any character meetings with EB in Orlando. As well, I believe the meet and greet in Hollywood was only for the opening of the movie. Unfortunately I don't know if Hop merchandise is available at Universal Orlando, but if it is, it will most likely be available in the Universal Studios Store in either CityWalk or the Studios.
