I'm wondering what the difference betwen the two restaurants are? Is one more formal then the other? Better food? Does anyone ahve any phot's of either of these two places? I'm looking for a nice place to have our last m,eal at WDW for our trip ijn January. My DS's only request was that we eat somewhere that will ahve less children at it and bould be a fancier then most.

For "fancier and fewer children," Citricos will probably be a better choice. Our family loves both with some enjoying the cuisine of one more than the other. For a quiet yet excellent meal it ranks very high on my husband's list at WDW.

Uncleromulus hit it on the head.

Citrico is probably the
fanciest" WDW resturant outside of V&A's. We have seen children, but not often. Lots of kids at Narcooses.

You'll get MUCH better service at Citrico. Food is slightly better.

It's a much more elegant atmosphere.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Just one more question- do peopel dress up for this restaurant or do they come in casual clothes?

You really should dress up a bit for Citrico's. A casual dress or pant suit for the ladies, and slacks with a collared shirt for the men.

I've gotten e-mails from the AKl and YC concierge about their dress code, basically requesting no shorts, jeans, tank tops, bathing suits, etc.

We've seen all manner of dress at Citricos. During warmer months, many men wear nice shorts...the kind that are acceptable on most golf courses these days.

Most people don't get advice from concierge so I would not worry about what they say at all. When you make a PS you will be told smart casual or something of the sort. If you ask for more clarification, you will probably be told no swimsuits, no tank tops (meaning for men).

wow... I must be the minority here.
We've been to both restaurants and we hated Citricos, LOVED Narcoosee's.

We feel that the food in Citricos is mediocre and really expensive. Also the CM we had didn't help by being so snooty.

Narcoosee's however was great! The food was wonderful, the CM paired the perfect wine with my entree and the view was beautiful. The CM and chef were very accommodating too... I had a food allergy and they bent over backwards to fulfill my request.

Anyways, that's just my 2 cents.

I honestly don't know whether the Citrico's CM was snooty because he saw 2 younger people dining or because he was just like that in general. But it sure turned us off completely...

Have fun!

definitely citricos is the way to go, although i have not been to narcossees. we love citricos!

cseca, I think you'll find plenty of Narcoossee's fans on the boards including myself. It is just that karebear's DH wanted fewer children and "fancier."

We actually have always seen children at Citricos as well as Narcoossee's. But Citricos tends to be less busy and so the kids that are there make less of an impact. Also Narcoossee's has wooden floors and exposed beams so noise is amplified whether it comes from children or adults.::yes::

BCV23, you guys are right though...
Narcoosee's is definitely a little livelier than Citricos.
I remembered thinking it was a little loud for a fancy restaurant.
... :D

Where is Narcoosee's and what are there views of?

is on the lake outside GF resort.

If you get the window table at the right time, you'll be able to see the water view pageant... :D
It's beautiful...
