Citi rewards card question

Do you get cash in rewards or only get to purchase something on their website? Its very confusing to me. Maybe I should just stick w/ my Disney Visa but we leave in 5 weeks and wont be going back for a few years after. Any ideas? Need to get started on a new rewards card. Thanks.

I have the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® MasterCard®. I get 5% back on purchases from gas stations, drug stores and grocery stores. I get 1% back on all other purchases. I've only had mine about 3 months and I've already earned over $160. You can earn up to $300 per year with the card, and that is cash back. When ever you have at least $50 in your rewards account, you can request that a check be sent to you. Once January hits, I will continue to use this card for all 5% back purchases and my Disney Visa for everything else since the Citi limit is $300 and I could do that in less than 8 months just with gas and groceries.

My card is Plat Diamond rewards. Maybe different? Mine shows points online, not cash amounts.

I got this exact card myself recently and I don't think cash back is an option. However, you can use your points to get gift cards. I know I got enough points for a $100 Target gift card when I opened the account. They had a really good selection of gift cards to choose from, IMO.
