We have twin 4 1/2 year old daughters which love dance and music. We were wondering if anyone has seen the show and would it be ok to take our kids to. What is the length of the show.

I took my son when he was about 5 years old. He's the type that could put a movie in the vcr and he'd watch it for 90 minutes. He did great and was mesmerized by the entire show. He sat on the edge of his seat with his jaw open the entire show.

However, you know your child best...don't do it if you feel they will have "ants in their pants" because not only is it a waste of money for you but it's disturbing for the people around you. Although the show is highly entertaining, don't hype it up to your kids as a dance show...it's more/different than that.

If you go, enjoy! We loved it and I can't wait to go back. (but I have to wait till DS #2 gets rid of his "ants in his pants")

Deb Willis site and the Cirque de Soliel site both have info.

The show is 90 minutes long with no intermission. I've read guidelines where it is recommended your child be at least 8 - but some four year olds handle it just fine (and some 36 year olds wonder why their wives dragged them there). Only you know your kids.

One of the tips on Deb's site - and something that I know from going to one of Cirque's other shows - is to get your potty break in before the show starts. Cirque will wait until an appropriate break in the show to let you back into the theatre - which means its possible to miss two or three acts due to a potty break with a little kid.

We took our DS7months and DS5 a couple of years ago. I thought for certain DS5 would love it and he did for the first 20-30 minutes. Then the big day we had caught up with him and he zonked out. Slept through the rest of the show -- along with our 7 month old!! Go figure. At least we got to enjoy the show and that we did. I would suggest if taking a little one to make sure they get a nap earlier in the day. When our DS2 gets his "ants out of his pants" we will go again......after both boys have rested during the day!!:D
